4 College Junior

Campus Dining: I like the vegetarian/vegan options since I myself am a vegetarian. I would say that the dining halls lack fish options for those who eat fish but there are many choices for meat eaters. One thing I will say is that some of the vegetarian/vegan options are a bit too salty. For those who have a dinning plan the best place to eat is 251 with the buffet setting it has a lot of delicious choices for everyone. It is a bit expensive if you used your free admittance which is once a week though and the same for if you are a regular student who does not have a dinning plan since it costs $19, that is kind of crazy for a buffet.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: Meal plans are pretty terrible, but are mandatory with dorm housing.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Within your first year of being a student, it is normal to like the food. As the years continue, the options do not change and the food becomes less of your liking.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: I think the food it good, definitely better than some other colleges. I am not involved in the dining plan but I like the vegetarian and vegan options and the all you can eat diners and the best.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Dining: better than a lot of other schools

Some of the best things about UMCP include the availability, quality, and variety of food on campus, all of which make living on campus a real treat. In addition to the Stamp Student Union Food Court, home to the restaurant Adele’s, campus also has two popular dining halls. The Diner on North Campus—a fun and extremely comfortable place to eat and even study—offers many possibilities, but students sometimes can go a couple of months eating the same thing twice there. The South Campus Dining Hall is on the opposite side of campus and offers a good amount of options, as well, including made-to-order meals.

In addition to the overabundance of options and the staff’s willingness to help students, both dining halls continue to offer the very popular “Late Night” dining hours until midnight Sunday through Thursday. Students may purchase fast food snacks, sandwiches, ice cream, and plenty of beverages, all of which are generally also offered during normal business hours. Eating healthy on campus is easy; the challenge, however, is not having dessert at every single meal.
