5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I love the University of Louisville. It is a diverse University with many resources for students.

4 College Senior

Greek Life: I feel that Greek Life gives this campus extra things to do beyond the normal activities and events. I think that Greek students are viewed as normal students, however some Greek affiliations unfortunately have stereotypes by which they are viewed by non-greeks. There is housing set up for some Greek groups, but not for all.

Facilities: The academic programs, the size of the campus and the people.

3 College Junior

Diversity: We are one of the most diverse colleges around. It is awesome and you get to meet many people who are nothing like you at all.

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I love the Greek life and I feel like everyone should at least rush just to see if any of them have similar interests with you.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Some of the same things around, there is just not a lot of variety.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love UofL. Many of its programs, like biology, business, the speed school, and the music school are some of the best in the country. The people are very diverse and accepting and there are many opportunities for every student to find something to participate in.

4 College Junior

Athletics: UofL has a great team and students and non students alike love attending their games.

The University of Louisville isn't perfect, but to those who love it, the flaws only add to the experience. Not everyone likes going to such a large university—it can be very intimidating, especially if you come from a smaller high school. However, the crowds offer an opportunity to improve your social skills and make as many new friends as you want. And even with a huge student body, most people find a tight group of friends that they stick with throughout their time at U of L. Most students make friends with other residents in their dorm hall or by joining clubs or Greek organizations.

The professors and other University staff are so friendly and offer lots of personal attention. You wouldn't normally expect this at such a big school, but that's one thing that makes U of L special. Another thing the University provides is an almost endless list of opportunities for students. They may have to go looking in the right places, but there are so many things for U of L student to try out and experience. There are plenty of study abroad opportunities, as well as a career center that can help students get internships and jobs after they graduate. However, even with all of these opportunities and resources, some students say they don't feel that U of L offers enough for them. However, some people just fit better at a smaller school. A single college will never fit everyone's needs, so there will always be some left unsatisfied. If you take advantage of the resources, you'll have a much better chance of enjoying your experience. U of L has a lot to offer—you just have to jump in and grab it.
