It's a big drinking/party school so just know that. But my roommate doesn't drink and no one treats her differently.
For being an out of state student it is great! i received in state tuition based off of my grades and test scores, so i am literally paying nothing. It is a very affordable school!
There is a bar less than 5 minutes away from campus called the Keg and that is where you go on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Thursdays and Saturdays are for either Nitetown of JSP. You can get in free to the Keg and Nitetown if you show your Greek letters. You will have to drive to downtown so make sure you have a DD.
All the dorms are less than 5 years old and come complete with a fridge and microwave. For being a girl i have a fair amount of closet and drawer snap which is a good thing. There are no community baths, each room has there own private bath. Laundry rooms are available for use at any time of the day and don't cost a penny. I haven't met any one on my floor except for my roommate and suite mates. But thats probably because i live in a sophomore dorm and i am a freshman.
Well for starters if you don't have a car you're stranded basically and if you do have a car prepare to sit in traffic for a good hour even if the place you are going is 15 minutes away.... The campus bus literally takes you to the gym or football field and then back to main campus, that is it. There are like 2 taxis in all of Lafayette so don't eve bother trying to get a hold of one. Grocery stores are a good 5 minute drive from campus along with any other thing you might need.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
