3 College Junior

Facilities: I think the aesthetics of the buildings on campus could do better since a few are outdated and very very old.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: great support from staff and fellow students

5 College Freshman

Facilities: UL has a fully built athletic system, a library that is easily packed with all the study material you'll need (and a top floor so quiet you can literally hear a pin drop- even though it is right on the main vehicle thoroughfare of not just the campus, but downtown Lafayette). Campus events are widespread and commonly advertised, traditions are long-standing, and in addition to having both campus parks and being located to the city park, we have a small swamp smack dab in the middle of UL. This is the south, after all.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: UL Lafayette has one of the best computer science departments in the country, and was a finalist in DARPA's self driving car contest, with the vehicle 'CajunBot', which is proudly displayed on a banner in the CompSci building. I am personally an Informatics major, which is a slightly business-oriented, 'applied' version of Computer Science. Our program coordinator is without a doubt the best teacher, and arguably person on the campus, and everyone in the program is incredibly knowledgeable about their respective fields. UL has informal associations with both IBM and GE Capital, and it is almost custom for a student in a CompSci field to receive an offer or two before graduation. In addition, numerous smaller businesses (such as domestic outsourcing) meet with technology organizations on campus and frequently offer internships which can be 'upgraded' into full time jobs.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: We have traditions like any other school, but we don't have any that stand out. We like to hang out in the Quad, Student Union or on Rex Street but because of the "Master Plan" our school is renovating the Quad and the Student Union so sadly most of our big social spots on campus are gone right now.
