3 College Junior

Academics: Good amount of workload. Just need more options for helping students.

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: New housing is the best. Good security too.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Great events that go on here such as wrestling and other sports.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: Do it early. Research on the website to learn about it. Ask questions.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: It not the best food but it's sometimes good.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Acceptance is a trait of a lot of people here.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Enough of it for you to feel safe

Campus Housing: Living on campus can be great, there are many amenities that make living here really easy and comfortable. The dorms have been remodeled and have a very good security system.

Local Atmosphere: I think this city is very happy and easy to live in. There are many attractions nearby such as Avery Island and many cities to visit such as Baton Rouge and New Orleans that are close by.

Majors: The process of getting into your program requires hardwork and dedication from yourself. One must meet challenges in order to get there and you have to do so with a positive attitude. The most important criteria for admission is your GPA and specific completed hours or courses.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am about to start in my specific program this upcoming semester and I am sure I will enjoy it a lot. I have looked into many internship listings that I will soon be applying to next summer.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I couldn't really describe an experience about it since I barely know of it.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing here can be very tricky. I believe there are a few nice places to live at but the issue for me is transportation since I don't own a car so I am forced to live near Cajun Field to grab the bus or walking distance from campus. That is why my options are narrowed short. The costs are pretty good and the safety in them as well.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: My overall experience here has been really good. I think all the professors I have interacted with have been very friendly, helpful, and smart. I have gained lots of knowledge from them and their well-taught courses. I think we could use a slight increase in course variety but besides that, I am really comfortable with the class styles and class sizes.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I think the career services on campus could use a boost. I have had my resume revised and had to wait for it for some period of time. They do a very good job revising them as well as offering job listings to students, in that way they really do help out.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: I think Nightlife at my school is great. Students have many options of places to hang out at and most of the time the party scene has a positive impact on the student experience. It allows students to get to know each other and expand their circle of friends.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: I would say guys and girls at my school are all very friendly, nice, and outgoing. Student's dress comfortably to attend class and dress up when going out.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I think Greek life in UL is pretty exhausting. I am not a Greek myself but I believe they look down on non-Greeks but I couldn't speak for all of them. I think I could consider being a Greek in the future because it sure looks like a fun and interesting experience.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Diversity on campus is awesome. I am an international student myself so I could say that everyone is very accepting, encouraging and normal to everyone.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I haven't had any problem or bad experience with this so I believe safe and security on campus is okay. I do think they could boost it though.

3 College Junior

Facilities: I think the aesthetics of the buildings on campus could do better since a few are outdated and very very old.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I think the school policy of towing cars where they are not supposed to park is great. Most of the students respect it and are afraid of getting their car towed since the policy is very effective and not lenient at all.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The only bad thing about off-campus housing is that the parking is horrible. It's barely enough spots for the residents.

Scholarships: It's multiple steps to the process and it takes a couple of months for any grants or loans to be applied to your account.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Professors are there to help you with your education goals. Class sizes are average.
