Off-Campus Housing: The only bad thing about off-campus housing is that the parking is horrible. It's barely enough spots for the residents.

Scholarships: It's multiple steps to the process and it takes a couple of months for any grants or loans to be applied to your account.

Overall Experience: Professors are there to help you with your education goals. Class sizes are average.

Overall Experience: My degree is nursing. The school has a very good nursing program and all students are focused.

Athletics: I believe the athletic teams at my school are great because they all strive for the best and play as a team. Each team has made it to some sort of finals competition and exceeded at some point even if they have lost, they will always go down fighting and keep their heads held high. Even the fans are very supportive in each event, win or lose the fans stay until the end to show their support and letting them know that they are still number one in their books.

Campus Housing: To be on campus is great because you get a chance to meet more people and mingle. The dorm life is average because the space that is given for each person is limited. the worst option to do is try and handle things without asking help from peers or an professor. The best option is to mingle as often as possible and maybe even get into a study group to improve your grades. the cost is appropriate for what is being offered and the atmosphere is just outstanding because everyone is friendly.

Campus Strictness: It is strict in the parking area but for the most part pretty average.

Computers: I participate in the online program and a computer is a necessity. The network reliability leaves a lot to be bargained for, however. It can be slow and the website is not user-friendly.

Off-Campus Housing: I participate in the online course and am not a resident in the home state.

Nightlife: I participate in the online courses and am not a resident of the home state.

Scholarships: I cannot receive financial aid. When calling the office, there is apparently only one person who knows the online program process for which I am apart of, and no one I spoke could adequately help me.

Academics: The workload for the online nursing program at ULL is difficult and demanding, and can be demanding at times. The deadlines must be met for all classes, and there is not a lot of flexibility with the professors. In terms of convenience, it is convenient to take tests and complete projects at your own pace, but there can be major setbacks if there are any internet problems.

3 College Senior

Academics: Classes are only offered twice a year, professors are hard to get a hold of and don't respond as soon as the students would like. The online system is mediocre, at best, as it is up to the professors to upload and grade papers at their own leisure. There are no student forums anymore, maybe because they fear student anarchy, and the students aren't notified or aware of any changes that are made to the program. Also, the website is not user-friendly and the workload is excessive.

Weather: Louisiana weather is unpredictable. Simple as that.

Health & Safety: There are blue light emergency buttons and phones placed throughout campus, which is very nice. I've never had to use one, but I see one pretty much everywhere I look. The campus police are at their office 24/7, so that's comforting, as well.

Campus Strictness: The campus strictness is rather light. I rarely see cops being stingy about things. Except for the few days they sat on campus handing out jaywalking tickets. Not cool. They respond quickly and are pretty respectful, from what I've seen for myself and heard from others.

Transportation: I've never used the school transportation because I've either lived on or very near campus. However, there was a referendum passed this past year to better the transportation and to provide more buses to the existing routes.

Computers: The library has a large computer lab available to any student or faculty member. You get a limited amount of credit ($25.00) that goes towards printing. The lab is a good size for now, but they will definitely want to consider adding more around campus or expanding this one very soon, considering campus total increases heavily each year. There are a couple of other labs around campus, however I know of their sizes or overall benefits of their use.

Local Atmosphere: Not being from Lafayette, I guess I don't really understand the people who have grown up in the area. I was raised only 2 1/2 hours away, but the culture is very diverse which makes for a lot of different views and opinions. I've found people to be rather rude and mean out here, but then there are very genuine and caring people, too. The roads are narrow and the traffic is unlike anything I've ever experienced. I didn't become acquire my road rage until I came here for school.

Greek Life: Those students apart of Greek Life at ULL make-up a very large portion of the overall students here. There are Greeks everywhere you turn, and people who aren't members rarely have anything to say about it. Of course, there are those who do, and the Greek members respect that. Greek or not, we're all one big family here - for the most part, anyways!
