Parking: Having to park half a mile away from campus is not ideal.

Parking: There are a lot of spots but they fill up quickly/the cost for permits is very expensive.

3 College Freshman

Parking: I payed a fortune for my permit ticket, and campus parking is very strict on us. They come around multiple times a day to make sure you are in the right parking lot, or garage.

3 College Freshman

Parking: People do great fined if they are parking in the wrong area at school, which is necessary because everyone has a certain area they need to park at, but some of the places are farther than others.

You would not believe how much people enjoy complaining about parking at Kentucky! It gets more gripes than any other area of college life, and rightly so. The parking authority is notorious for overselling parking passes. If you are lucky enough to find a space, you will pay over $100 per year to park somewhere miles away from anything.

Plan on packing a sleeping bag if you have a pass to park at the football stadium; chances are you'll end up getting tired and spending the night. The only redeeming factor is the shabby bus system that takes students around campus, but never really drops them off anywhere that helps much.
