Campus Strictness: Policies on campus are somewhat lenient as long as you follow the rules and stay in line.

Campus Strictness: It is good to have a somewhat strict campus because it helps with safety. You must show your id to get into any dorm and you must check in and out guests. The RA's can vary from dorm to dorm but most are strict about alcohol and drug policies.

Campus Strictness: I don't live on campus for the reason that I didn't like having to worry about restrictions. I used to live in an all girls dorm. they were very strict on visitors. we were only allowed to have 2 at a time. male visitors were only allowed to spend the night on Saturday nights, otherwise they were only allowed noon to midnight. co-ed dorms were less strict, but still had similar policies. there were mandatory dorm meetings every couple weeks. which were a waste of time that I could have used to study or work. parking was a joke. I was blessed with a good spot and ended up giving my friends rides to and from theirs cars in the lot miles away from our dorm, because the buses had strange hours or the girls didn't feel comfortable alone at night in the lot

Campus Strictness: UK is a very big school; bigger than I like. I feel as though I'm more of a number than a student there. But the advisors are very friendly and when you get professors 1-on-1 they are friendly and helpful.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: It is very different depending on what you are looking for.

Although the dry campus policy is strictly adhered to by the university, most students get away with it a time or two. Loud, obnoxious parties off campus get busted up pretty quickly, so trust your judgment and leave before things get too crazy.

Campus police have a good reputation for being understanding. At times they can even turn a blind eye, particularly to Greeks partying off campus. The best way to stay out of trouble is to be respectful to police and always have a ride home pre-arranged.
