Facilities: The campus as a whole is absolutely beautiful. I am constantly taking pictures because I can't believe I get to spend all day in such a gorgeous place. The buildings are a charming mix of older and very modern aesthetics, and the grass and trees are always so green! The rec center and library are my two favorite places. Both are great resources and very well-maintained. There are frequent campus events and activities that are usually a lot of fun to attend! However, some of the classrooms in the older buildings could use an update, particularly when it comes to heating and air conditioning.

Facilities: First things first, the campus is beautiful and makes everyone never want to leave. I haven't really been in a lot of the buildings or around a lot, but even just passing through, it's easy to see that campus is friendly and upbeat.

The U of I campus is well maintained, but there are a lot of old buildings on campus. The interior of some buildings could use some repairs, as the structures themselves are really old. The architectural designs on campus need to be modernized, but even with the old structures, the landscape of the school and the scenery are appealing. However, for most of the year, it's either snowing or rainy and cold, so sometimes the exterior of campus might be a depressing sight to behold. The good news is that the school always seems to have one renovation or another going on, even if these renovations never seem to make a huge difference.

The athletic center has really good and modern amenities provided to athletes, and there is also a student recreation center that other students can make use of. There is really nothing impressive about the recreation center, though, even if it has very good workout equipment. There are more than two libraries on campus, and all are well equipped and adequate for students' needs. In terms of entertainment, there is not much to do on campus. There are a few concerts, movies, and plays, but you might have to leave the campus often to catch your real fun.

"Green" Initiatives
The school is actually doing a good job in respect to sustainability and staying green. The school has a sustainability center that creates awareness on campus as to the issue's importance. The UI Sustainability Center coordinates recycling and composting around campus as well as a sustainability symposium every academic year. Trays were also taken away from some of the dining halls in an effort to conserve water. Although the school has invested a lot in sustainability, there is still more to be done.
School Slang
  • Nasty and inebriated: These were the words that Boise State University's football coach used when referring to UI students after a football game between both teams ended badly.
  • Who do we hate? Boise State!: Students chant these words before games, due to the rivalry between the University of Idaho and Boise State University.
