There is not a lot of nightlife, especially for a large city. The night life around Manoa gets old quickly, and students often turn to dorm or house parties instead. There are a few bars, but are often frequented by tourists as opposed to students.
Hawaii isn't a major party school. Most students are tired from their all-day activities at the beach and on hikes, etc. But many students still come together to have a great time! Events like floatopia and block parties for halloween, pro bowl, mardi gras, etc. are popular among students. Just imagine all of Waikiki shut down for huge block parties for halloween and other events! Despite a lack of large parties, there are still parties thrown by the frat, swim house, dorms, and more. Even multiple beach bonfires throughout the year (it doesn't get too cold during summer)! Almost any day of the week you will find somebody having a party or drinking. There are many clubs and bars around the school and a huge rave scene has taken place in the city as well.
Super easy to find something going on during any given friday night. Saturday night is when people typically go off and do the whole club thing. Frats hold many parties along with several events. Party scene is usually pretty safe but I have heard of girls getting roofied at parties so watch your drinks!
There are bars not too far from campus with good music and drinks which gives student discounts, Anna O' Brien's. Bale on campus serves some drinks for those over 21.
There are lots of places to go near by. Waikiki is probably the closest, with many many places to go for the night life. If not, Ala Moana area and Ward have a few places to go to!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
