Diversity: Strong advantage! No majority on campus means that students are so tolerant and welcoming of diversity. I'm enriched by the mix of ethnicities.

Athletics: Really great recreation program, and amazing new campus center facility

Off-Campus Dining: Amazing restaurants with fresh and fusion food. Kaimuki is so close and has great local options!

Overall Experience: I really love UH Manoa. This college was my dream college from the get go. I couldn't see myself in any other University because of the atmosphere in campus as well as the wonderful administration, classmates/friends and opportunities that have crossed my path when attending here.

Parking: It's hard to get the parking pass for the structure building because everyone wants one and usually it's the Seniors that get the first pick. Parking along the streets by the parking meters is hard to do because you have to go extremely early to get a spot because these spots fill up quickly.

4 College Freshman

Computers: The speed of the internet is great when in a classroom or Campus Center. However, there are some places when you are right outside the classroom that wireless connection can't be connected

Weather: Living in Hawaii, the weather is beautiful. However there are times where the weather at UH Manoa does not match what the news weather station states. Living on the Leeward side, it's difficult to predict what the weather will be like at UH. Sometimes the news would say it's going to be storming but the whole day at school it's sunny. However, we can't control the weather.

Diversity: I love how diverse this school is especially coming from schools that were diverse as well. You see the different ethnicities of people around campus; hanging out with people of other ethnic groups besides their own. From what I feel, there is a great acceptance from political beliefs to religion and to sexual orientation on school grounds

College Freshman

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus

College Freshman

Drug Safety: You don't see people using drugs on school campus but I'm pretty sure there are uses in the college dorms

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Things here are very relaxed and usually everyone is very chill with things. This is good and bad though. Lots of things slide and its inconsistent with what they say so its always unsure on what is expected and what to expect.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There are many students that are involved in alcohol related situations. Many students like to use drugs at raves and other social events. Marijuana is the most popular drug on campus and many students do it. It is very accessible and easy to get. The policy enforcement is very unstable and at times are very strict and than others it isn't.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There are many things to do in Hawaii and a lot of places to visit. they only catch is that you have to spend a lot of money in order to get them. There are many things to do for tourist but it can be hard for a poor college student to afford all those things. There are many places to go shopping and I love attending the cultural events that occur on the island and down in Waikiki.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: There are many sports that many students are involved with. The intramural sports usually have many students sign up for it and get involved. Our sports facilities are good and we are working to build more. Fan support and school spirit aren't that big though except for volleyball and football. Other than that, many people don't come to support sport events.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There aren't many parties on campus because they usually get busted really fast. That is the same with off campus parties and the police usually show up really early. There are a few clubs but it isn't a big thing unless you are 21 and over. There are many transportation routes available though which is convenient and useful.

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is very small here. I barley know about them and the things I have heard aren't that great. Many people try to stay away from it and aren't involved with it. It doesn't seem to affect campus life that much because its such a small part of the university.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The safety on campus is generally good. There are campus security on grounds that I will see on occasion but they aren't always apparent. I know how to contact them, but they can be a little slow at times to respond or arrive. There are many emergency phones on the walkways and there is a lot of light everywhere to help when it gets dark. Crime on campus doesn't seem to be an issue and it's never anything I really worry about.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus isn't a very common things at Hawaii. I find it to be a lot more convenient to be on campus and cheaper. Housing is very limited in Hawaii and the conditions of open houses are typically low. The prices are also usually very high and it is hard to find a nearby house to campus. The streets are always filled with cars so it is hard to find parking places unless you have a pass to park on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Diversity on the University of Hawaii campus is huge. There are many students from different countries and the US that go to school here. I am able to experience different cultures everyday and learn about different places around the world from my peers. We all work well together to create a diverse and successful community of learning. The professors are also very diverse and its interesting to experience the different teaching styles based on their culture and beliefs.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: It's there but I wouldn't say it's as popular compared to the Greek life at other universities.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: We are a big mixing pot here at UHM.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It is visible but it's not a big issue.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The bus transportation is convenient but not something I would take often.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: It's Hawai'i, what more could I ask for.

3 College Freshman

Majors: They don't have some majors but they have a good choice of majors to offer.
