3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere is just okay. There is 2 small shopping centers in the community and a lot of houses but that's about it.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The school is very small so there isn't really far places you would have to walk to. But at night, it does get a little scary walking to your car in the dark.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They have always sent me my financial aid on time. If anything, I don't think they put out enough reminders of financial aid deadlines.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: There is always computers available! But I usually bring my own laptop to take notes in class. And if you ever have a technical problem, IT is very helpful!

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The bus transportation improved a lot since last year because we now have a shuttle. But, the buses are majority of the time over-crowded.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: Everyone seems very accepting of others. I have not witnessed any conflict with diversity yet.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It is VERY windy. It's also hot and sunny.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There is a good variety of places. There are both fast food places and restaurants to choose from.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is very homely and makes you feel comfortable.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There is no way you can't feel safe on campus. Security is always patrolling the campus and would ask if you would need company when students are leaving really late in the night due to classes. There is also security poles that are stationed at each building with directly alerts security. It only takes a matter of seconds for them to come to you if there were ever a problem.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: There are computer labs on campus but they are used for a class or to have incoming student to take their placement test. But the library offers a lot of computer that are open to students along with IT services and printing accessibility. There is wifi through the campus and just requires students to log onto the wifi with their UH ID.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: I personally like that weather. It's usually sunny but it isn't hot since there is a breeze. It hardly rains which is a plus.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a lot of diversity on campus but it doesn't change the fact that every does get along with each other.

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There is no housing provided by the school. If students are trying to live on their own, it's usually on the pricey side since housing in Hawaii is high. It usually resorts in students living with other students or just living with relatives.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no Greek life at the college as far as I am aware of.

1 College Sophomore

Athletics: Even though there is a high demand for athletics, our college doesn't have the actual facilities to do any sort of sports. We are trying to bring sports into the college but as far as sports go, we only have field day which is were students would use our big field to play sports like football and volleyball.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: All I have to say is that since the college campus is new, we (the students and faculty) try to take care of it to prolong its new appearance.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The college encourages students to always apply for financial aid even though students believe they don't qualify because they believe there is always a possibility that we could we awarded the aid. Just to make sure that students are getting the assistance they need when applying for financial aid, the school does workshops and what not to help them.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Even though the major I am in isn't popular, I do learn a lot since the Professor is that teaches the subject is great. The workload is manageable and does challenge the student since it incorporates the material that was taught in class. What I like about the college is that there are resources everywhere and students will always be given the attention they needed if they ask for it.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I applied twice and still have not received aid due to mother making a high income. I'm apply to many scholarships in order to help pay for tuition and possible a new lap top.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I didn't meet a Greek that comes to my school

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Not used to this side of the island. But really glad to have friends that live in the area to show me around

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Didn't see anyone take drugs during my time in school

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Since university of Hawaii west Oahu is new, all the computers are new. All of the computers are touch screen.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: In most classes, attendance is required.
