Overall Experience: University of Hawaii Maui College used to be a community college which just became a university. Although this school did not offer a BA program that I wanted, I was still able to transfer to a school easily with the credits I have earned.

Student Body: The student body is very diverse. There are many Filipinos, Japanese, Hawaiian, and Caucasian. There are also many middle aged students.

Career Services: The career center was very helpful to me. I have learned a lot and have gained a lot of experience I needed for the work field I am leaning towards due to the career center internship program. The staff very friendly, professional, and knowledgable in their work.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition was affordable. I was able to afford my classes each semester.

Online Courses: I personally prefer on campus classes rather than online classes. However, I did have a couple online classes and they were okay. The professors were helping and offered further help in answering questions. The professors were also quick to respond to my emails.

Campus Resources: University of Hawaii Maui College offers many campus activities. I believe I have seen at least one activity per month. There is a huge lawn in the heart of the school that holds many different activities such as club fairs, job fairs, sports, and fundraisers. I also enjoyed the music, entertainment, and food offered during these activities.

Academic Experience: I really enjoyed the Administration of Justice program. The professors were willing to help and answer any questions I might have and were available to offer any tutoring outside of class. The professors were not only skilled and knowledgable in what they are teaching but they are also funny. Also, the Administration of Justice program required an internship program in order to graduate. I am truly grateful to have had an internship before graduating because the internship provided a hands on experience in the field I am pursuing.

Academic Experience: I enjoyed studying at the school's library and The Learning Center. They offer many programs and seminars for the students such as tutoring, studying101 seminar, how to write and essay seminar and many more. I also appreciate how the staff treats students. During finals week the library provides drinks and snacks for the students. The library and The Learning Center are also very helping in answering any questions I might have. What I love most about the library and The Learning Center is that they both has an area in the building designated for a quiet study area as well as an area for group studying. It was most helpful for me because I prefer to study alone in a quiet area away from noise.

Overall Experience: Everyone is so kind and helpful. I've learned so much about Polynesian culture I absolutely love it here I would do it all over again! And again! And again!

Campus Resources: Campus is open and huge but there isn't much athletic centers etc. Since it is a community college.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Just like any other schools I would guess. But it is a bonus if you had your own computer.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: They mostly offer basic majors, but its nice. I can alwsys ask students and faculty for help. Workload is normal.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Not a lot of majors offered but professor's are cool. I've never seen so many passionate professor's in my life. They make class enjoyable and teach in a different way. It's pretty cool!

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: The opportunities you have are pretty good. The alumni gives you great advice on life after college and tge opportunities that are given from attending the school.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: My school is on an island and across the street from a beach. It's very open and feels safe.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm coming from the mainland and with students who are out of state its nearly impossible to find scholarship opportunities since you didn't attend their high schools. Tuition is ridiculous. If I can get through my first year it'll be a miracle.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Not a lot of diversity but everyone is nice and treats others with respect.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I haven't taken any classes online, I just heard that some classes are tougher than most depending on your major/ what you take.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: My money is well spent, just that I hoped it wasn't I whom paid for the whole package, my hope was to receive scholarships, that assistance was lacking in the financial aid depsrtment, thanks to assistance form outside help I am now on the path to financial aid with out need to aqcuire loans.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: numerous classes and schedules for selected classes allow for students to build the perfect curriculum.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Diverese in age and ethnicity, from teenage males to mothers looking to bettter there employmetn. The geeky mid-twenties girl whom is in a group with a curmudgeon man only erolled because he wants to work his Ipad correctly. We are enrolled for many reasons and we are from many different backgrounds, once behing closed doors in our designated classrooms we bacome a student body engrossed in the learning aspect, the true reason why we embarked on our morning trek to school. We see happiness through education, the happiness of understanding what we once thought to be difficult is slowly becoming retained knowledge, these classes and interactions with one another better our lives and better our minds.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: do not take on-line courses, ther rating apply to the class room experience.
