College Junior

Greek Life: I have no idea what the Greek life is like. All my answers were a guess.

Overall Experience: Won't have classes until the fall, but the professors I've interacted with have been great.

Nightlife: We are known as the party school. The University is very close to downtown. Many people tailgate for games several days in advance.

Campus Dining: Let the big Dawg eat! The campus provides four different places to eat. The food and the service is the best.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It all depends on the professors. I would go to ratemyprofessor.com before picking a professor. The class sizes are bigger than other schools I have went to in the past.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The campus helps with getting a job. They have a career center on campus and many online resources for students.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I do not know enough to answer this question because I do not start until August. I believe the campus is less strict around football games.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: People from different backgrounds attend UGA. I saw many ethnic and racial backgrounds at Orientation.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: My major is Geography. I want to become a Meteorologist and work for Channel 2 Action News in Atlanta. I have always wanted to become a weatherman in my local community. I will have to take Calculus and Spanish so I will have to study a lot. I want to intern at the Weather Channel and work along side Jim Cantore.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Many academics are offered at UGA. Many Foreign languages are offered and the School of Business and Law are located on campus. We also have an excellent football program too. Go Dawg!

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of activities are UGA. There is even a Will Ferrel club. They are many guys and girls and a lot of Asian Americans are at the school.

One of the most amazing things about students at UGA is that I have never heard one person say they don't like being here. UGA and Athens have so much to offer in so many different categories, that there really is something for everyone. The positive energy of 30,000 people who are happy to be here is captivating, and something you will instantly want to be a part of. It will not take long before you regard Athens as your second home, and after about a week, most students forget how big a school it is.

It's exciting to be in Athens because there is always something going on, whether it is entertainment, a demonstration, job fairs, or just a chance to hang out with people you just met who are now your best friends. Students are encouraged to explore their talents and make the most of their four years here, and most students are able to achieve their ultimate "college experience." Sometimes, it seems like we are all characters in some cheesy teen movie because college life in Athens is so classic, but academically, socially, and personally, this school seems to have changed most of us for the better.
