Drug Safety: College has drugs and DU is no exception. If you like music then Molly is there, Greek life loves cocaine, more alternative circles LSD, everyone drinks and everyone smokes weed (It's Colorado and legal).

Drug Safety: It's not too noticeable but I definitely notice a fair share of classmates coming to class high off of marijuana and I find that disrepectiful, immature and annoying. I can't stand sitting next to someone that is wreaking of the drug and can't concentrate or keeps me distracted from what is happening in class.

Drug Safety: I NEVER see students using drugs on campus, but I don't live on campus and therefore surely miss a lot of what's happening. There are bars all around campus, but overall campus gives off an academic vibe rather than a party vibe. I don't ever feel peer pressure to use drugs or drink.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Not that many students do anything more than alcohol. Surprisingly not that many students even smoke weed.

Other than alcohol and marijuana, you don't hear much about drugs on the DU campus. Drinking is a fairly popular activity, to say the least, but there are plenty of other things to do if drinking is not your scene. Although many of DU's parties are judged by the amount of alcohol and/or marijuana present, it's not impossible to have a good time without them. At times, the campus buzzes with rumors of cocaine or methamphetamine, but for the most part, hard drugs aren't a factor. Most students don't want to even think about the consequences of getting caught with hard drugs, much less live out those consequences.

Even so, some students have their ways of finding their drugs of choice. Many times, however, this requires a bit of traveling to other (larger) schools. Some students take advantage of friends at CU or CSU, which are prime spots to buy what you're looking for.
