UConn has a mixture of new and old buildings. Some courses require a high-tech classroom with projectors and TV screens, and others are still taught in rooms with blackboards. While old, these buildings do not hinder academics or the learning experience.
UConn is constantly updating its facilities to keep the school ahead of other New England public universities. The chemistry and business buildings are state-of-the-art, and the library and the Student Union promote a great learning environment. All facilities are kept very clean, as well. UConn is constructing two classroom buildings to replace some of the old, outdated ones. These will be completed shortly, giving students access to greater facilities and professors new tools for efficient teaching.
