Health & Safety: Public safety is always available and ready to help you. There are telephones all around campus and immediately dial public safety is something happens at school. The public safety are always patrolling around campus, but do not bother students unless they are doing something against school rules. Public safety patrols 24/7.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I am not involved in Greek life and do not really know anybody that is in it.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: I have not heard or experienced an instance where diversity has been an issue on campus. All of my professors are open and willing to help any of their students despite their personal beliefs and appearances.

College Freshman

Nightlife: I am not interested in partying. I do not know where to find the best parties or how to rate them because I have not been to one.

Majors: The pre-nursing and nursing prep programs at the university are fantastic! The professors for the prerequisites are knowledgable and have a great way of teaching the information needed to do well in their classes. The program provides students the opportunity to understand how the classes they are taking relate to real life experiences in the medical field.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I am happy with the program and would recommend it to anyone that is interested in nursing. I am only a freshman, so I cannot speak for the Beth-El nursing school at the university. My career goals are to become an ER nurse. I have no concerns finding a job in my field.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There is a large shopping center down the street from the university that provides a large variety of options of restaurants for students to choose from. The prices range depending on where you go and what you order. Lots of options at a reasonable price!

4 College Freshman

Diversity: The diversity on campus is absolutely great! One can easily fit into the diverse groups of people seen around campus or even fit into other groups just based on interests.

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is great! Great view of Pikes Peak from UCCS even especially at night! The new campus has so many places to be and is very nice and unique!

Majors: I am happy as a Nurisng major. I have concerns of not graduating with a job lined up, but I believe the resources I have access to will ensure my inevitable success.

Majors: I am Pre- Nursing, and to get into the actual Nursing Program will be difficult because the program is very selective.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: Our Greek Life has very little impact on the school. Not very popular.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Intramurals are very popular, and a lot of people participate. There is a bit below average school spirit.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone here seems to be very accepting of all religions and races and sexuality.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There is always a way to get where you need to go.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are pretty noticeably old, and over priced. But the social aspect is worth it.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of chain restaurants nearby that most people enjoy.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: This school gives next to no purely academic scholarships.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: A lot of students live off campus. There is a wide variety of housing arrangements.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I believe my campus is average when it comes to rules and rule breaking.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Being Colorado, the weather is pretty unpredictable. It does not affect school.

3 College Freshman

Academics: There is a lot of course work for nursing compared to the other majors. But regardless of all the studying, I still am glad I am in my major because it will get me to the future I want to have.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics here at the school are good. The professors take their jobs seriously though they try to make their teachings interesting. When registering for a class you got to be quick about it or you'll be put on the waitlist if you sign up late. When on the waitlist it depends on where you are in the line if you'll get into the class. Those who are first on the waitlist have a higher chance. For studying people usually come to the library and either sit at one of the tables or books a study room.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are some diversity here but everyone's okay with it and treat each other equally.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: There are several places where people can park but those areas can fill up quickly if you don't hurry. On the main lots you have to have a parking permit. People can park in the parking garage but have to pay per hour. Down the hill is a parking lot next to 4 Diamonds for free but spaces are limited. There's a campus shuttle that pick up students and takes them up to the main campus and back.
