Campus Dining: The food is unhealthy with very little variety and tastes horrible

Campus Dining: Sometimes I want to call the health inspector for some of the dining halls. They're nasty, I've seen roaches AND mice in the back where you put your dishes.

Campus Dining: There is a big variety of food and different places to eat

Campus Dining: Thankfully I don't have to always eat on campus. My favorite is the two story Starbucks in the Student Life Center. You can have your coffee or one of their food options while you take advantage of the free wi-fi and meet classmates. The prices are more expensive than the store closest to my house though, and I strongly suggest buying and registering a gift card for the rewards if you are a Starbucks liver as I am. I reached gold rewards in less than half of one semester. Expect to wait a while for any food or drink at any place on campus though. There is a Burger King, Subway, Pizza place, and several other fast food places in TUC and the Stident Life Center.

Campus Dining: On campus there are four dining halls to choose from, each having their own variety of foods and most of the dining halls switch it up every other day so you're not getting the same thing day in and day out. These are buffet style and eat all you can. We also have three Starbucks shops, two cafes, and restaurant chains like Taco Bell and Chick-Fil-A. We even have a sushi place that's quite popular. If you can't find what you want on campus there are even more options just across the street from campus on all corners. On top of that, a strip mall was just built and with that five more restaurants like DiBella's Subs and Waffle House. Seriously, it's really hard to get tired of the food on and around campus when you have more options that you can count.

When it comes to on-campus dining, there aren't a lot of options. For the most part, if you visit the student center, expect to chow down on your typical fast food menu items: burgers, fries, pizza, and chili. The lines are generally pretty horrible from noon until 2 p.m. because students are taking breaks from class to grab lunch. It's not ideal to go to Tangeman if you're looking for a quick, healthy meal. Subway is a great addition to the on-campus food lineup because it's one of the only healthy food options. There's also a new Chick-fil-A. However, these places can be extremely busy at lunchtime. Oftentimes, there is a line out to the door, so if you can wait until mid-afternoon for a meal, it's probably worth the wait.

The dining halls are decent but expensive if you don't have a meal plan. They tend to be steady as far as business goes, but you can get in and out quickly. The food isn't amazing—it's basically dining hall food—but students will appreciate the variety the dining halls have to offer. For the most part, there are several different stations where students can get any kind of meal they like. The stir-fry station, when it's offered, is great and a healthier option than pizza and hamburgers. But you could probably get it cheaper at the Chinese restaurants off campus.
