Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Emphasize your volunteer hours.
  • Have a good GPA.
  • Participate in extracurriculars.
  • Write a good essay.
Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • For some courses, UC has free tutoring that you can receive by just signing up. It is free to all students, and the tutors are generally nice and friendly.
  • Get anything that your adviser says or any other important decision/matter in writing because it could haunt you later on—like when you are about to graduate.
  • It is hard to make friends. You are not with the same people every day, and most people take classes with friends, so it is harder to make connections to people on campus. If you can, get involved with a learning community when you're a freshman so you are in the same classes with the same people. It gets lonely with no one to talk to.
  • More about the co-op program because it would have made the decision to go to UC much easier and much quicker
  • Parking is bad. It is hard to find somewhere to park every day without paying a hefty price.
  • The Clifton area
  • You are going to do a lot of walking. It's definitely a workout getting to and from class.
Interviews & Information Sessions
Group information sessions with an admissions officer are included with the daily walking tours UC offers.
Campus Tours
UC conducts daily tours for prospective students that include a group tour with an admissions officer, a campus tour with a student volunteer, and an optional visit to the specific college that interests them. Tours are conducted almost every weekday and Saturday throughout the school year, except for holidays. In the summer, tours are offered on weekdays. Students should register in advance by contacting the Office of Admissions directly or through the website. It is suggested to sign up via the site, as it is quick, and students can see all the available times.
Overnight Visits
There are no overnight visits offered through the University.
