5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Living in Orlando, FL is great! About 35-40 minutes away from the University of Central Florida we have Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World amusement parks. Downtown Orlando is only about 30 minutes away and there are plenty of bars and clubs to go to, making the nightlife great as well. There are country bars, "trendy" clubs, LGBT clubs, etc. So no matter what you are into there is something for you. There are also a handful of college bars that are extremely close to the university, some of which transportation is provided free of cost. We have tons of shopping areas within 30 minutes driving distance and a lot of big name musicians come through the area as well. Because the university is so large, most of the locals are students themselves, so the attitude towards students is great.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is basically an entire neighborhood with stores, a great gym, a lot of great places to eat & more. Love the campus!

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: There is plenty to do in Orlando. Numerous theme parks, 2 professional sports teams, a good night life downtown, and only 45 minutes from the beach. The downside is that none of that is close to UCF. Near campus you have a couple bars and restaurants spread throughout the area but nothing is easily walk-able.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There's plenty to do in the area. Anything from food to unlimited bowling on Thursdays! Waterford Lakes mall is about 10 minutes away and downtown Orlando is about 20. If you're bored, you'll have no problem finding something to do.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: UCF is in Orlando, so there's a lot of touristy attractions such as Disney, Universal, and Sea World. There's also outlet malls for shopping and a town centre near campus. The Amway centre downtown is home of the Orlando Magic if you are into sports. You can also go downtown and what not. There are a lot of things to do, just transportation can sometimes be tough because traffic gets heavy and the buses are confusing.
