Campus Strictness: Policies are enforced if someone draws attention to a problem

Campus Strictness: It does not really affect me because I do not affiliate with the wrong people. So I can hardly tell what is so bad going on around me.

Campus Strictness: UCF is a large school but I do believe they do the best that they can do. No everything ever can be prevented. Its okay for some less important things to slide every now and then in order to focus attention on very important things like student safety and compliance with the honor code and such.

Campus Strictness: Most strictness on campus is well warranted, however when it affects my learning is when it is a problem for me. Many times, the campus shuts down during weekday games which means many of the buildings I no longer have access to. This limits me from studying in the engineering building where there is software I need to finish assignments as well as prohibiting me to go to work in my research lab.

Whatever you are trying to get away with on campus-don't even think about it. UCF is a zero-tolerance campus, and that means no alcohol and no drugs. Using a fake ID on campus isn't a good idea (if you're caught with one you can get expelled). Being that Orlando is a huge tourist haven, one of the cities' main priorities is maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for the tourists (and everyone else, for that matter). Therefore, even minor transgressions are taken seriously. In other words, watch what you do.

There seems to be an abundance of police on the UCF campus just waiting to catch their next victim. Use caution and be smart and you should be okay. Be sure to follow the speed limit on campus, and always have an up-to-date permit showing on your car. Be afraid, be very afraid.
