4 College Senior

Scholarships: Advisors were very helpful, and I always received the correct amount of aid.

3 College Senior

Parking: We have a lot of students who attend UCF so parking can be difficult, but new parking garages are always being built.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: I've have personally never been, but I have heard great things.

3 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: There are university shuttles that go to and from the major apartment complexes around campus. They're convenient, if you don't mind waiting at the bus stop for awhile.

4 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: The football stadium is only a few years old, and it's been kept up very well. It's smaller than some of the other state universities' stadiums, but it's still fun to attend the games.

4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: The engineering programs here are wonderful, and the majority of the professors are really helpful.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: I lived on campus my freshman year, in the Apollo community. It was so great not having to worry about finding a parking spot before class!

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The place I live at is awesome, especially for the price, as it's one of the cheapest complexes in the area

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: You don't necessarily see it on campus, but it's always being talked about

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There's a lot to do in Orlando, although some parts can be kind of sketchy

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I'm not into clubs, but the ones I have been to are fairly entertaining

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking's usually not the greatest, no one is really impressed with it. Spots can be hard to come by

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I think you're definitely taught what you need to know, and there are so many different courses and tracks for each major you can take to better suit your needs

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: It's the second largest university in the nation, so there are so many different people from different backgrounds with differing beliefs

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Although I prefer to not walk alone at night, I can do so and feel relatively safe. Safe escort is always available if needed

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It's central Florida, so it's usually hot. During the summer you get the bipolar weather and random rainstorms, but it's nothing new to a Florida resident

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I lived in Lake Claire, and I have no complaints. It was awesome for a first-year living experience

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: If you apply early, you're more likely to get a UCF scholarship

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I know I chose the right school. UCF is my second home

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I learn a lot in my major courses!

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Everyone is friendly and goal-oriented

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Not oppressive, but also encourages safety!

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: The Greek housing looks amazing as we drive by Greek row. The views of Non-Greeks are stereotypically by thinking that the Greeks are snobby and party freaks. I haven't really seen much rivalry between the two but that is how they are seen.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There is a variety of options that are fairly priced around $8-9 but the places that the meal plan work for isn't worth it because the meals are very low quality and very easy to get tired of.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I can see the programs that try to rise awareness of this problem at school but a lot of parties and people here want and like to use alcohol for a lot of things that aren't really needed.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
