Guys & Girls: At UCF, there is an extreme diverse population of individuals, ranging from the typical Greeks (frats and sororities) to the theater kids to the goths. Since it is a public university, there are many religious and cultural groups that tend to congregate in front of the student union (mostly Wednesdays) and "advertise" their specific group. Overall, there are a lot of activities for all types of people that you may encounter on campus, and even around the campus.

Health & Safety: Security on campus (campus police, safety night drives, etc.) is quite great. Like the last page, they are not too overbearing but there is also a sense of security on campus. In terms of the student health center, there could definitely be improvements. Often times, students are misdiagnosed and given medicines that essentially do nothing for the individual. Since many individuals come in with the same illness, the homogeneous cases seem to zombify the doctors, so to speak, and there diagnoses tend to be the same regardless of examination.

Campus Strictness: Overall, I would consider campus strictness to be average. They keep the campus safe enough to not have to worry about walking around alone late at night, while giving enough leniency to the students that they don't feel like they are prison inmates, so to speak.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining are often quite reasonable in terms of princes, with a plethora of different restaurants for the varying individuals around the city. Student discounts are often about 10% off the entire meal with presentation of a student ID card.

3 College Senior

Transportation: I've never had to use the transportation options at school but I see the busses running from Off campus housing to campus all of the time.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: I eat off campus all of the time and I never have trouble deciding on a place to eat. There are many options at a reasonable price.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: I don't go out much but many of my friends do and they seem to enjoy the local bars.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: I simply filled out my FAFSA and UCF told me what I qualified for. There are also additionally scholarships offered through SGA.

5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: I love living in Orlando. There is tons to do in the immediate surrounding area, but if you travel outward even more, there is even more to do and see.

4 College Senior

Parking: I've never had a problem finding a parking spot. However, buying a decal is absolutely necessary to park on campus.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: Overall, the drug an alcohol use are like that of any other university.

5 College Senior

Diversity: I've met a wide-range of students all who which contribute to the overall effectiveness of the schooling environment.

5 College Senior

Weather: Nothing compares to the comfortable Florida weather, especially in the winter time.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: I would say the students at this school are typical of any other school.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I would absolutely come to UCF if I could do it all over again. I'm actually encouraging my little sister to attend this University. I loved every part of my undergraduate experience here.

4 College Senior

Computers: I had my own laptop, but if I ever needed to use a computer on campus, it was never an issue. Occasionally, the wifi was a little slow, but overall, easy to access.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: I really enjoyed living on campus my freshman year. The dorms were close to my classes, clean, and nice to live in.

5 College Junior

Transportation: There are free shuttles that take students all around campus (which is great because campus is pretty large). A lot of the local student housing apartment complexes have free shuttles for students to take to and from school. Parking decals are about $100 for the year, so the free bus option is popular

5 College Junior

Facilities: There is ALWAYS something going on for EVERYONE. Freebies are huge, too :) You'll never be bored. My suggestion is to pick 2-3 clubs at the beginning of the year and stick with them, but be on the look out for other fun events :)

5 College Junior

Facilities: UCF is a beautiful campus, hands down. It is a nice mix of old and new--the newer building s are modern, but there are nice brick buildings on campus too, as well as lovely oak trees for shade. And Reflection Pond is the best to sit near on the grassy field on a nice day!

5 College Junior

Campus Housing: Campus housing is..well..campus housing, but the plus is there are many options depending on how much you're willing to pay.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: UCF is a large school, so there are pluses and minuses to this. The plus is the campus is large, so walking around at night is not too fun. However, because it is large, there are usually people on campus at night, usually clubs practicing, so you're never fully alone.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There's a variety of people here on campus. And there is always couples out be our reflection pond.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
