Athletics: Our school spirit and athletic programs are superb.

Nightlife: I personally don't party that much, however, the sky is truly the limit on the options in nightlife and transportation at this school.

Off-Campus Dining: There are multiple of dining options near the school. Many options are available to students from all type of economical background as well. Many restaurants provide student discounts or special promotions as well. The variety is really unmatched compared to most universities. At UCF, there is something for everyone.

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is the bestest place to experience attractions, shopping, professional sports, and more! There is never a dull day for a college student here. Everyone is pretty friendly too in the community so it makes it pretty comfortable to live here.

Academics: There is no comparison in the benefits that you will receive if you attend the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. There is no hospitality program in that nation that matches its capabilities.

Drug Safety: UCF encourages students to do things the "Knight Way" by being responsible when in those type of environments. There are strict policies and enforcement that comes along with being enrolled at the second largest University in the nation.

Computers: We have regular pc's and macs available for student use as well. Printing on campus is free for up to 20 pages per day in our student lounge but if you didn't have a chance to visit the printing lab, the library and computer labs are opened till the campus closes where you can print off pages for 10 cents.

Majors: I love my program. There are so many connections and areas to be creative in exploring your dreams or interests in the Event industry. The workload isn't too much and our facilities where we take classes are actually state of the art. One of the most beautiful campuses in the central Florida area too!

Majors: The Rosen College of Hospitality Management provides many opportunities for students to jump right into the industry. There are many organizations and companies that will personally travel to our school just to recruit students that are graduating for full-time positions. I have obtained many great internships thus far as only a junior and I would highly recommend as soon as you start taking classes to explore the numerous resources and options our college of study offers.

Greek Life: There are a variety of Greek organizations to get involved with on campus. There are many houses as well, however, not everyone is required to live in the house. Some organizations have over 200 members. Greek like affects the social atmosphere of campus because it provides unity among those who may be coming to our school from out of state or from far distances. Many of the Greek life hold a very professional and influential demeanor when they are on campus. Many of the Greek life are required to provide a philanthropic platform as well.

Drug Safety: It is sad, as a college student, that I have to deal with issues such as this. I am trying to attain an education and am bombarded with drugs, alcohol and sex.

Campus Strictness: UCF is a large school but I do believe they do the best that they can do. No everything ever can be prevented. Its okay for some less important things to slide every now and then in order to focus attention on very important things like student safety and compliance with the honor code and such.

Athletics: All of the facilities are great and well kept. Sporting events of all sorts always have a great crowd, no matter the team that we are playing. And all events are free to students making it all the more worth to go and cheer our athletes on.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: As stated before in the atmosphere around UCF, Greek life is present and they have many events that are only for other Greeks but they also have events that are open to everyone and there are other option for non-Greeks in the area that allow for partying or hanging out with many other students.

Local Atmosphere: People move to Orlando specifically because of its atmosphere. There is Greek life with all of their close knit activities but there is also many places and things to do around campus giving you the opportunity to meet various different kinds of people. You can have fun whether or not you are apart of Greek life and there are so many different options.

Weather: During the summer it is hot and the winter is cold. There is an average amount of rainy days. The temperature in the building is always average other than when there are having problems, which is understandable.

Off-Campus Dining: Throughout the area around UCF,there are wonderful options for food, dining in and taking out. Downtown restaurants and high quality restaurants are also easy accessible and quick drives. The food around this area is great.

Drug Safety: Students will always want to have fun in college, if the school is to intense on its limits the school will be less populated. However safety is always important and UCF does well at making that known. At all the tailgates police are always checking for underage drinking and drinking and driving as well as at fraternity parties. They are always close by keeping vigilant eyes for anything that would cause harm to students.

Health & Safety: For a large school, the personal safety and health safety of students is very noticeable important to the school. The health center offers basic services for free and discounted rates for anything that causes charges. It is easy to access and well organized. The police action is always quick when needed. Speeding around campus is well monitored and safety rides are offered at night to students walking to their cars or to campus buildings.

Computers: Most students that are in college have their own computer or portable device that they can do work on. If they do not, the library rents out computers and tablets. There are computer labs and computers throughout the building as well as in the library. The wireless is great easy to connect to and reliable.

Off-Campus Housing: Orlando is a large area so there is a large variety of options, ranging in prices and quality. It is what you get. The more you pay either you are very close to campus or your housing is extremely good quality. Average quality is thr most popular and thus you pay average rates.

Diversity: As one of the largest universities in the nation, UCF represents the greatest collection of diversity in every characteristic. With this diversity is a shared respect for all people despite their appearance, beliefs, and ideas.

Scholarships: Financial aid definitely helped me go to college. I had some problems about citizenship because I was naturalized and was forced to consistently present proof of my citizenship every semester. It is important to fill out information in advance in order to resolve any potential issues that arise. It is also important to have copies of important documents with you at college.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
