Guys & Girls: Social Life – It's a very social school and there's an event or club for everyone. There are parties every night and many go to the clubs around campus. The girls are very independent and the guys love to have a good time.

Off-Campus Dining: International Drive – Many restaurant around campus offer student discounts. NYCPD Pizza is the most frequent place when students get together for an affordable price. I enjoy going to Denny's, which is really popular for their great pancakes and student discount is also offer.

Health & Safety: Personal Safety – The safety in Rosen College feels secure. They have a security guard at the entrance that checks the passes of all students to identify they are allow in the campus.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Buses Are Great! The buses are free for students and they come to the off-campus apartments throughout the day. The cost for a hangtag is $88 a year, which is really good compared to a lot of other colleges and it comes in handy when you wanna go get food, go to the gym, or head to campus at any random time.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: They Do They're Job – The only time that they are really harsh and push the rules is when we are all tailgating before games, but they do let us get away with quite a bit. I've always seen them just tell underage people to pour their drinks out and if they see them get out of line or do it again then the punishments start to kick in.

Local Atmosphere: Never a Dull Moment – Orlando always has something going on every day of the week! There are theme parks, such as Walt Disney World, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, within about a thirty to forty-five minute drive. Plus, there are a lot of shopping centers, restaurants, and mini attractions close to the campus. It's Great!

College Sophomore

Greek Life: There are plenty of greek events for those who are interested in that sort of thing, but I am not and have never felt pressured to join up. I have to say that most of the people I have met fit the stereotype- and all seem to be hospitality management majors. They party and only where greek or UCF specific clothes.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: I love the campus facilities. The library and gym are both very nice and modern. There is lots to do, and the campus is aesthetically pleasing, at least once you get past the outer circle of parking garages.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Great Profs – I have had a very good experience so far at UCF. Most of the professors are very engaging and eager to meet with you during office hours if you need help. Of course there will always be a few who are rotten eggs, but I find that they are fairly rare.

The only real complaint I have regarding academics is the amount of online classes and lack of face to face selection. I find that many of the classes are only offered online, or just one class and fill up extremely quickly!

5 College Senior

Computers: There are several computer lab located all around campus. No matter where you are on campus you can find a computer lab close by with ample amounts of computers. The network reliability and speed are great. Wireless is avaliable anywhere on campus and I've never had a problem accessing their wireless!

4 College Junior

Facilities: UCF stands for opportunity and that is so true. Frequent activities and events hosted by SGA is safe and fun. Teachers are really good at giving students hands on activities and projects. The school Gym is amazing with its pool ans rock climbing wall. With hundreds of clubs and group ranging from Gay Asian Men to choclolate lovers its easy to find somewhere to fit in.

5 College Junior

Weather: Sun and Fun – Beautiful and sunny most of the time. Year round beach weather is great. Even rainy days only last a couple hours and then the sun comes back out.Ideal for outdoor fun and outdoor school functions.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: Student and Pocket Friendly – There is a variety of dining options for any budget. SOmetimes local resturants will have specials specifically for students which is very nice. I have not used the meal plan on campus but I hear it is very convenient.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Lots of Different People – If you wanna smoke some pot, you can find a group. If you wanna go to church, you can find a group. Pretty much you can find something. I'm very introverted, so it's hard for me to make friends. But there's lots of activities. Get to know your roommates off the bat. Go to Pegasus Palooza at the beginning of the year. Lots of free stuff and TONS of people are there. You have to put forth effort to find people. The clubs kinda suck. When you sign up at the beginning of the year at the fair, they don't email you back really. I signed up for at least 10 clubs and all i got back was volunteer ucf

Off-Campus Housing: You Get What You Pay for – There's tons of pros and cons about the off campus housing scene. But you honestly get what you're willing to pay for. If you want a big room, you're gunna have to fork out $650+ and the utility cap at some places is bull. DONT DO A 4x4. Most places don't accomodate the living space for 4 people. Go for what you think is gunna make your stay more enjoyable. If you're social, then look for a bigger common area. If you like to eat, look at places with bigger kitchens. Every place pretty much has the same amenities so really look at the floor plan. Pegasus Pointe and Landing are the ones offering no utility caps, which is a great incentive. They both have good security and they take financial aid, which, for me, is a big thing because that's how im paying for school. But really look around. Don't listen to reviews you find on the internet on apartment sites, theyre pretty much all negative. Go and get the sublease list from the front office, and email or call the people and ask why theyre leaving.

Campus Housing: Expensive, Move Off Campus – They have 6 on campus complexes. The apartment style aren't worth your money. The dorms are clean, you get it cleaned every week. They're pretty fast, which is nice if you're still sleeping. I'm living in Libra for my freshman year but I'm deff moving off next year. The only problem I've had with matinence was that my internet wasn't working for about 4 days because when you move in the service place wasn't open, turns out they never hooked up my internet. Plus is campus is really quiet unless you have noisy people around you. Roommate matching is nonexistent so know who you're gunna move in with or cross your fingers and hope for the best. Not the greatest, just average. If you want the "full college experience" live here your freshman year.

3 College Senior

Transportation: There are shuttles that can take you all around campus and to and from certain off campus living facilities. There are a lot of parking garages but you have to hurry because there are a lot of students and parking in the morning is a killer.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: There isn't a big drug scene at the University of Central Florida, if anyone does drugs its usually just smoking marijuana not the hard drugs you hear about, and I haven't heard of any serious peer pressure. UCF is very good about controlling drugs on campus.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Before I had my baby, I never missed a UCF home football game, its full of a lot of students and alumni coming to support our team and have a great time. The school spirit is amazing, you can barely find one person not wearing a UCF shirt or colors, and we all come together in unity for our school.

4 College Senior

Greek Life: I am greek and i love it but UCF is far too strict about everything. we just wanna have fun, we are not hurting anybody.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Science Drive Is Pretty Good – it's expensive but it's really close to campus and has it's own shuttle. the rooms are huge and everyone gets their own bathrooms.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Check Out Bangkok Sushi – Has good sushi and good happy hour prices for sushi

3 College Junior

Facilities: The School Is Growing – The school has become the second biggest school in the nation. It has many connections to local businesses. It offers classes that can be watched online.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Most of the students focus on the football team ans they should because the team became ranked this year. The teams work real hard to get national attention.

2 College Senior

Health & Safety: Annoying Police – The UCF campus police are always visible, and they like to make their presence known. Go 45mph in a 30mph zone, and they'll catch you. Jay walk, and they'll ticket you. Buy drugs, and they're nowhere to be found.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
