Greek Life: I would say that Greek life at UCF is pretty valued and most definitely has a presence on Campus. Some Sororities and Fraternities have houses on campus. Some have houses off-campus.

Majors: Computer Science – My current concentration is getting my bachelor's in computer science, and furthering that with a master's in Interactive Entertainment. Learning how to program and create video games has been my dream since I was little. When I learned that UCF was ranked second in the country for the path I want, there was no doubt this would be the place for me. So far, my classes are a blast and I'm looking forward to subsequent semesters. The job opportunity is enormous for my field of study, and UCF puts me in great position to succeed.

Health & Safety: On Campus Police – University of Central Florida has an outstanding commitment to safety. Campus crime is very low and when it occurs, the issue is addressed immediately. The school has its own police system with an office easily accessible on campus. The safety and police department made itself known since the first day of orientation, providing valuable contact information, safety tips and the services it has to offer. Of the many services, the police provide a late night shuttle service on campus in order to transport individuals around campus during the late hours. There are also numerous emergency stations were one can signal to the police any danger in their surrounding area.

Off-Campus Housing: There are an abundance of appartments located around the campus perimeter. Some are less than three minutes away from campus; others are more like ten minutes but still close. These appartments are generally nice and well-kept and are fairly affordable. Parking on an around campus can be a tough, due to the sheer amount of students. Parking at any given off- campus apartment complex can be tough if your a visitor. From a security stand point though, this is not necessarily a bad quality.

Computers: There When You Need It – Each major college building has some sort of computer lab of their own, so finding one even during the "power hours" of the day isn't a problem. The wifi network is solid with a tad bit of a delay, but it's sluggish enough to cause a lack of quality.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have never felt threatened or unsafe at UCF. There are large maps around every major building so it's hard to get lost. The faculty and local security are helpful and vigilant.

Health & Safety: School Safety – UCF's has had it's share of problems, but I've never felt truly unsafe around campus. I wouldn't go walking around in the wee hours of the night, but that principle goes for where ever I am. We have carts that transport students to their dorms when it starts getting dark so that there's less problems.

Nightlife: The nightlife is pretty cool around here. The only thing is that clubs close at 2 in orlando, but you could definitely find somewhere to chill with your friends after.

Off-Campus Housing: They Are Okay.. The off-campus apartments are plentiful in number, but its more expensive and more of a hassle. You have to find some way to transit between your complex and school, and allow time to find parking and walking time. I have friends that have to leave a minimum of 2 hours before class time to ensure punctuality. You also don't have the convenience of food and amenities right outside your door.

Campus Housing: Living on Campus Is Amazing! Being on campus allows you to be at the center of everything. I never miss out on any events, and I hear about some that my off-campus dwelling friends don't. Everything you need is a short walk away, and you don't have to stress about finding parking for each class. The gym is a minute's walk away from my dorm. My suite-mates are amazing. Living on campus allows you to make connections that you would not have the chance to have made if you lived elsewhere. I HIGHLY recommend it!

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I received a lot of financial aid, But due to the tons of hidden fees the school gives you, i don't even have enough money to eat this week. I think that should change. Boo to hidden fees. Boo.

5 College Junior

Diversity: A Properly Diverse Campus – UCF is a very diverse community. I have made friends from many different countries that include many different cultures. UCF is all about unity. Every culture, regardless of differences, gets along here. I have never had a problem fitting in with a particular group.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safe and Sound – UCF is a very safe place to be. The school rarely receives a threat, but when they do, every student receives an alert via message on their phone or e mail explaining the situation. I have never felt threatened here. police are regularly patrolling the area. If I have a late class, I have the option to receive a complimentary ride home to ensure my safety. All of these aspects contribute to the safety of all UCF students.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: It Can Be Tough Keeping a Large University Healthy – It is rare that many people become ill at The University of Central Florida, but with it being the second largest university in America, disease will spread rapidly if it sparks up.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Good and Bad – I've heard many good things about Greek life at UCF, while I, myself, am not involved.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: School Spirited – While our athletic teams might not always win the championships, or even win, our school has spirit. I'd say that out of 10,000 students, 9999 of the students are proud to be a knight. And in a school of 58,000, that's only about 6 people who are not proud. And even with that number, I'd say it's large. Everywhere you go you see at least 10 people wearing UCF shirts, even off campus. The facilities for athletics are great, and our athletes are given the opportunity to be the best.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: While there is a a lot of white people on campus, we still have a lot of diversity as well, race wise. In the majority of my classes there are whites, blacks, Asian, Australians, and Europeans. I even have an Australian professor, and last semester I had an Egyptian one. Not only is there diversity within race, but there is diversity regarding economic background, religion, and sexual orientation. Here at UCF, we have a large number of on-campus student religious organizations and fellowships. And there are a lot of students on campus who go off campus each Sunday to attend church. We also have a large LGBTQ community.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Always Growing – The thing I find unique about UCF is that they are always expanding. Every semester they are building a new building or expanding on an old one. You will never see the same school in consecutive semesters. Always something new.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: A Life Expereince – Love this school. Its been such a great experience so far. You get to meet so many new and interesting people at UCF. You will definitely get a great college experience at this school.

3 College Junior

Parking: Getting Better – Parking my freshmen year was a pain. However, as the years progressed they have added more parking lots and parking has been made easier each year.

4 College Junior

Athletics: The school is all about their football team, the Knights. However, I think the campus life doesn't need to revolve around the football team and the season. They need to tame it down a bit. Not everyone likes sports.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safety and Security – I find that the university takes safety and security very seriously. They have their own campus police department that will even escort a student to their car at night. It's very wonderful and it makes the campuse a very safe place to be.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are representatives of many different ethnic groups at UCF, which shows a general kindness and acceptance of any individual. African-Americans, Latino, American ethnicities are what make up the student population. A well-rounded student body helps ensure a level of quality education equally obtainable by any individual who attends.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I am still new to this university, but my experience has been okay. Everything is there in front of you. Everything is mapped out on a map pretty easily. Everyone is helpful, and there's a lot of people to meet. I love the pathways that UCF has. I wish I didn't choose this one because of the population of the student body. Parking really is bad, and traffic [among people and cars] is bad.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: From what I have seen, UCF is very positive in allowing things like tailgate parties on campus. Although, there are simple rules to abide by. As the second largest university in the nation, if one person does something bad then the next will. It will be an ongoing chain, so the school makes sure everyone is abiding by the rules and regulations. Do not smoke here. Do not skateboard, rollerblade, or bicycle here. It's just simple rules, but I guess a lot decide not to.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
