Facilities: There is much diversity in UCF that's what makes it great. The programs are great and everybody is treated equally.

Off-Campus Dining: On campus there is lots to choose from but prices can be high. When a college student doesn't have that much already. Not much discounts. Near the campus there is a lot to choose. There is variety but the discounts there could be more.

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is a big city, but not much work can be found here. There is plenty to do and the transportation to school is great. There needs to be more parking but other then that the campus is beautiful. There is the local amusement parks which are about half an hour away. But what college student can spend money on that.

Overall Experience: Love Being a Knight! I do not regret in no way whatsoever my choice of coming to the University of Central Florida. I had did a college tour of Florida State University, University of Florida, University of South Florida and Florida International University. UCF's campus SOLD me, it is absolutely beautiful. The school spirit is beyond amazing. You are here for school, so studying has to be your number one priority. If you balance out your schedule with school being number one, there is no reason why you can't find time for a social life and enjoy your college experience.

Campus Strictness: Around the campus there are local bars and clubs that cater generally to the 18+ crowd. Some are even from walking distance, so transportation isn't an issue. On campus, some of the fraternities and/or sororities throw parties occasionally. Also, every month on a Friday, the school puts on an event called "Late Knights" and this is a good a alternative for those who would like to remain on campus. There are also shopping centers around the school, and a bunch of restaurants, for those who aren't into the party scene. If you want to have a good social life, joining clubs and organizations will help you tremendously when it comes to network & make friends.

Off-Campus Housing: More Housing to Come – UCF is beginning several new projects around campus to offer housing at affordable prices. These have such amenities as shuttles to campus to allow easy transportation.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: New Recreation Center Expansion – The Rec center at UCF has recently undergone a facelift, practically doubling the size of the already large gym. Outside there is a leisure pool, something that seems to come right out of an MTV spring break episode! All of the equipment is brand new and modern, creating a great workout experience.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Up and Coming – UCF is phenomenal, it has a growing sports program, large student body (2nd largest in the nation), and beautiful campus located in Orlando, Fl! The campus is laid out in such a way that creates the perfect environment for the student; everything is close and the campus is like a city on its own. Classrooms have new technology and professors are always available, making it simple to pass if you put in the effort.

5 College Sophomore

Weather: Always Sunny in Orlando – Not like literally but for the most part it's great weather. In Florida it can be 80 degrees in December. If you love the warm weather like I do then UCF is the way to go.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Depends on the Dorm – The new dorms in the Towers are amazing. It is like living in your own apartment, but just like any college there are the old dorms. Yes they are closer to campus but they aren't as clean. I like knowing that my dorm has only been used by say 2 other people, not 200.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Saftey at School – At UCF I feel very safe, though it is a large school it is hard to get lost. Also, since it is such a large campus it is hard to get caugh in a sketchy situation without many people around.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: Pay Less – Needs more. Although the shuttle is provided on campus parking should be cheaper...

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greeks Are Everywhere – UCF is a strongly greek school. It is alittle annoying.

Athletics: Watch Out We Have Michael Jordan's Son! Our basketball team and football team are really becoming great in there division. They both became ranked teams this year! Not to mention Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing come to our games!!! Michael Jordan's son plays for our team, which is so cool if you ask me! We have a lot of school spirit, especially considering the young age of our school. UCF, compared to FSU and UF, has been around a lot less, and therefore our alumni is not nearly as big as those schools, but the alumni we do have is entirely supportive. We have a great stadium and a fabulous basketball arena, where concerts are even held, such as katy perry, lil wayne, and other prominent celebrities.

5 College Junior

Campus Dining: Knightros, Where the Food Is at! We have a great on campus meal plan. It is a buffet and has the best ice cream, stay away ;). It is part of our meal plan and it is called knightros, they are open every day with convenient hours and delicious food! it does not look like a typical food cafeteria, it has more character in flavor regarding its ambiance and the quality of the food served. We also have an einstein's bagel, starbucks, qdoba, and many more places on campus! We have a great place near the stadium, called tailgaters which is great for football games and other athletic events that generate a lot of fans. We even have sushi/ hibachi restaurant on campus!

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Some Are Good and Some Are Bad – We have a very diverse groups of kids at our school, we have the preppy ones, the athletes, the guidos (Jersey Shore looking ones). Working out is a huge trend at our school, and they just re-did the gym so it is even bigger and better than ever before! The guys tend to have huge muscles and care a lot about their body. People go out to bars and drink a decent amount here, but I would not say anymore than most college towns. For the most part the kids are cleanly dressed, and of course we have some odd balls here and there. There are a myriad of activities for us to do,whether we want to drink or not. You can go to disney, or blue moon group, they also have this great little boutique town called winterpark, which is so nice!

2 College Student

Drug Safety: It Exists – there are you stoners and there is a lot of drinking

5 College Student

Computers: Computer Labs – Computers work very efficiently and have many up to date programs installed.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The best form of public transportation is the free kind. The shuttles, which carry students to and from locations such as local shopping centers, off-campus housing, and the campus itself, are completely free to students.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: TFM (Total Frat Move) – Greek life on campus is a microcosm of the University itself. There is little interaction between Greeks and non-Greeks (GDI), but intraGreek relations are strong. Most Greeks associate with other Greeks; however, some organizations have preferences when it comes to associating with other organizations. Greeks also have there own slang that can be applied to everyday situations, such as "TFM", which is an action stereotypical of fraternity behavior. The social life attached to Greek life is also one of the more interesting on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Great Atmosphere – UCF is a huge school with tons of people from different backgrounds. It's easy to make friends and get involved, you still have to study just like at any other university, but the overall atmosphere is great.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Sunshine State – It is almost always sunny and warm here but in the summers it can get really hot. Walking from building to building can work up a sweat. On the positive side, most of the students wear comfy summer outfits and the school provides many ways to get cool, such as the pools and free water ice and ice cream!

3 College Junior

Academics: Being one of the top engineering majors around the world, the Electrical Engineering Program is definitely one of the best. Here in UCF we have a building specifically for the use of all EECS majors from classroom use to lab rooms and administrative offices. The counseling office is conveniently located in the building for easy access to all EECS majors. Sometimes it is difficult to meet with professors for help and assistance, but that is to be expected since they are both busy teaching students and doing research at the same time when also helping students with any problems.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Pretty Average Experience – There is never a smooth financial aid transaction. Just don't expect it. Fill out all of the forms and turn them ahead of time. The sooner you get it done, the sooner you can get aid.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
