Off-Campus Dining: Student Discounts – There are discounts everywhere all you have to do is flash your UCF ID and you can get a discount. You can do it at Target or any of the food places around campus and maybe some that isn't all that close. You may have to ask for those.

Off-Campus Dining: What a Variety! If you find the lines in the school dining options too long, there's absolutely no problem trying to find a dining place for you! There are tons of different restaurants on every corner ranging from Mcdonalds to sushi bars, from healthy options like Pita Pit to huge slices of pizza bigger than your head at Lazy Moon. The pricing is always on budget for a typical college student which is what makes it the best.

4 College Senior

Athletics: UCF is still a brand new college compared to the oldies like FSU and UF therefore our school spirit isn't as intense as it is in those colleges. However, compared to my freshman year I have definitely noticed a HUGE increase in school spirit. More and more people are attending the football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and even tennis games. IM sports are also becoming a bigger deal and there's pretty much an IM sport for everyone ranging from basketball to racquetball.

4 College Junior

Majors: Large List – UCF has a lot of options when it comes to majors. There's no chance that you can't find the one you're looking for.

4 College Junior

Parking: Could Be Worse – I am a transfer student and I have seen some really bad parking availability, but UCF has a lot of students, and I think they've prepared for that with their amount of parking garages all around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather in Florida is very unpredictable. It could be raining in the morning and then suddenly in the afternoon it stops and the sun is out. Around August it rains more because of the hurricane season, but classes have not gotten cancel unless it is something really serious.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Just About Average – The drug scene in UCF is not that big, most students just smoke usually. It also does depend on who you surround yourself with and how much will-power you have. Drinking usually occurs at the bars, never seen people drinking alcohol on campus since the police would probably catch them

Off-Campus Dining: Down Alafaya Street – There is a variety of off-campus dining provided for the students. They always have special discounts for students as well as good prices. One of the best places to check out is Applebees which is right across the campus. There is such a variety from there being restaurants to go with a group of friends, as well as if you would like to go on a date.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Super Safe – On my campus, there is plenty of lighting, and I feel safe. Whenever there is anything to worry about, every student receives an email to let them know about the situation and what they are doing to take care of it, and what we can do to avoid it if necessary.

5 College Senior

Facilities: Everything We Do Is Crazy BIG – UCF is the second largest university in the nation which means our campus is always thriving with life. People are everywhere and there is always something going on outside the Student Union, Memory Mall, and anywhere else with enough space to hold all of us Knights. Getting involved is incredibly easy and meeting new people occurs on a daily basis.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: The Happiest Place on Earth – UCF has been the best experience in my short 20 years on this big blue planet. Although I had never even heard of UCF until my junior year in high school I was hooked the first time I set foot on its campus. There's always something happening on or off campus and everyone always seems to be happy. Unless gorgeous women start walking around UCF handing out free candy and puppies, I don't see how UCF could get any better.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I don't think it's easy to find financial aid at any institution, but UCF does a great job at trying to help it's students. The Office of Financial Aid is always packed and they are always helping students to find aid.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: What I love about UCF is how new it is. I love that it is inventing its own traditions and becoming such a large and well-established school. There is always something to do on campus and the organizations that put them on make sure that they're always really fun. The facilities here are incredible, from recreation to counseling, UCF has it all.

2 College Senior

Campus Dining: University of C-Grade Food – Marketplace and Knightro's quality of food my freshman year was pretty poor. They generally had a decent variety of food choices, but that didn't change the fact that most of it wasn't very appetizing. Luckily, UCF is home to many well-known eating establishments such as Subway, Chikfila and Qdoba that serve as a great substitute for the monotony that is UCF's mealplan.

4 College Freshman

Parking: I think the parking at UCF is very feasible. With the purchase of a "parking pass/permit", you can park in any of the designated spots. Living on campus, a car isn't really necessary. Parking spots are a little difficult to find at times, but if you get there early enough you can find a pretty decent spot.

3 College Junior

Transportation: UCF has a pretty decent set up, they have a system of shuttle busses. The busses are supposed ot run every 15 minutes from student housing complexes in the area to designated parts of campus. The only problem is that the every 15 minute policy hardly ever follows through. Most students wait anywhere from 20-45 minutes for a bus on a bad day. Sometimes your bus drop off on campus is on the opposite side of campus which will take you another 20-30 minutes to get to. I definitely think UCF is working on a new system but right now it's almost worth it to use a different form of transportation.

Athletics: School Spirit – This weekend is our first football game of the season and you can feel the anticipation on campus. Our team did very well last year and I think everyone is amped up to see what they'll pull of this year. Win or lose the Knights fan base is pretty consistent and you can find just about every fan, if not more, at the tailgates before the game. Tailgating is spread out all over campus it's pretty hard to miss. Memory Mall is the most packed during the day. All up and down the mall there's games going on, food being grilled, and spirit being shown. You wake up on game day like a five year old on christmas. It's exuberant and such a thrill to dress up in your black and gold and cheer your team on. The school spirit here can't be beat, that's for sure.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Living on campus is very exciting especially during your freshmen year. You walk out your door and there is usually plenty of activity. I lived in the Towers and there were so many great amenities just a couple feet from my door. Even when it's not the most beautiful outside the RA's have events and activities that you can do on campus or in the UCF area. I think Towers was the best place to live with the book store across the street and all of the eating spots, I never really needed a car. Especially during Winter when the Plaza gets transformed into a winter wonderland. Outside of the Arena they set up an ice skating rink and a giant ferris wheel for all of the students and Orlando community to come out to. All in all I think UCF has a great college atmosphere that plays off of it's location very well.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Not 5 Star but for College Students – The options for off campus dinning is pretty big. It's even more convenient because they are for the most part located by an off campus student housing thus getting to them is as easy as taking a campus shuttle bus. And the pizza places and fast food eateries have discounts and special on the regular for students.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Crime Sometimes Find the Back Door – The campus for the majority of the time is pretty safe. But when something bad happens it's seldom that it will be a minor thing. That's what is my biggest issue, the crime that finds a way to take place is no small incident.

4 College Junior

Academics: It Has It's Bad Moments – I came to University of Central Florida because of there well credited engineering program. The professors are all expert in there field but some because they are so involve in there filed of work they do not have much time to offer. And quite of few do not have English as there first language so communication can be difficult. But over all the teachers are willing to instil knowledge and help the students progress in there journey to obtain a degree.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Great People, Great Experiences – The friends I have met here are amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. The classes are fun, but do require a lot of work. There is still plenty of time to hang out with your friends or go out at night. It's the best!

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: Parties, Not Clubs – Some of the clubs are cheap but I am still not into spending money to be surrounded by drunk sweaty people. Parties are much better because You typically know many of the people there, its cheap and its a lot lower key than a club.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: I do not have a meal plan. But from the opinions of others i have gathered that they have a very broad selection of foods. There is always a healthy option, salad bars, fruit, etc. They give you plenty of flex bucs, about 50 a week.. this seems like a little much though. If you have an unlimited meal plan, you probably wont be going to eat at the other options on campus. But the opportunity to be able to is always nice. When you break it down the meal plan ends up being about $8 a meal which is the same as if you dont have a meal plan and you eat out at the dining halls. I suppose the benefit of having a meal plan is to get the flex bucs?? Im not sure.. it doesnt really sound like a good deal to me! but hey.. plenty of people use it, so it must have its perks. As far as the other meal options go there are regular fast food options such as, chick fil a, subway, tropical smoothie, chinese, etc. There are also plenty of restaurants. Two in the student union, and maybe 10 or so down by the arena.

As for me, I choose to go grocery shopping and very rarely by campus food. I live in a dorm, so i do not have a kitchen but i still make the best of it. I usually have fruit/ yogurt/ cereal for breakfast, make a sandwich for lunch, and a salad for dinner. I also have frozen meals i can whip up as well as pastas and smoothies. I like this because it allows me to control what I eat and make sure that I eat healthy!

4 College Junior

Computers: There is computer access everywhere across campus. The Library, computer labs, study areas, and also you can rent laptops. Professors encourage students to take test and quizzes on campus because of the reliability, speed, and wonderful connection it offers.Free Printing labs are located in the Student Union and the arena. Although the library's printing has a small fee.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
