4 College Freshman

Facilities: Love the Gym – The gym is spectacular. I feel in love with it on the first visit. It has a rock climbing wall, and two floors of great workout equipment. Four full sized courts, and an eighth mile track. What could get any better.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safety on Campus – There are stations located around campus where, if needed, you can call for help. There also is a system in which you call a number, and you can be picked up around campus and taken back to your dorm any time. I always feel safe.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I Don't Regret It – As a biomedical science major, it is hard at times because it is so time consuming. You basically have no time for yourself because it is mostly gone studying. But i don't regret it. It is an eye opener all the studying and in the end its one hundred percent worth it.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather in Florida changes constantly so you never know if its going to be hot, cold, windy, sunny or rainy. It can get a little annoying when walking to class if its cold or if its raining.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Profs Help When Needed – Im a biomedical science major and for all my classes professors have been more than willing to help out during office hours and also to provide information with the application process.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: LEAD Scholars – LEAD scholars is a program that my school has that really helps to show how to be a leader and volunteer. They really contribute to volunteer UCF and help make the campus a better place.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Guys Are Hot – Most of the guys at UCF are super athletic. You will find most of them at the gym. The girls mostly look like cheerleaders, and kind of preppy but nice.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on UCF's campus. There are always posts where buttons are pressed so the police can be called if ever an emergency. There are also Late night services that take you to your dorm, or places you need to go if its too late outside.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Overall Very Beautiful – All of the facilities on campus are very clean and new. Some such as the visual arts building could use some renovations but none of the building are out of date. The gym is probably the most used building and it is beautiful.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: People are allowed to smoke outside 25ft away from public bbuildings

Overall Experience: Love It – Love the diversity and student activities and give aways. A lot of concerts and tailgating for football. School also has great resources such as tutoring centers to help with school work. HUGE gym that offers great activities and sports for free. Can play and work hard in great weather. Would do it all over again.

4 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: Shuttles Vs. Car – Shuttles consistent and convenient and free. Parking decals expensive but convenient if you are back and forth on campus. Garages all over campus and usually will find parking close to your building. AVOID PARKING FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL TAKE SHUTTLE. Second week get your decal and park at school.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: School Affiliated Housing – With the newer complexes being built all over school I know the grade will improve drastically. If you have the option of moving into a nicer newer place for a little more a month. It makes a huge difference in safety and amenities! Take the newer over the older always at UCF.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: School Spirit – The athletics at UCF may not always be top of the game but our school spirit sure is! The most exciting thing about going to a game is seeing how excited the fans are in the stands. Everyone including the alumni are up chanting the our team on and you can feel the spirit radiating from the stands. To experience so much pride in a school is something I have never had the pleasure of knowing. I absolutely love how excited the students at UCF ALWAYS back our teams and show them we are truly there for the long haul!

5 College Freshman

Diversity: The diversity at UCF is amazing! The one thing that UCF tries to do is keep the campus very diverse. When I had come to UCF for orientation that was one of the main topics they had repeated over and over again about how they wanted to kepp the campus as diverse as possile for every year. I am proud to say that I attend such a diverse campus where I can meet people from all over the world.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Social Atmosphere – The social atmosphere at UCF is wonderful!! I have met so many new people and they are unbelievably welcoming! I've never had an experience like coming to UCF and it truly makes me never want to leave college. The activities that SGA holds here are also very informative and exciting so it makes the student body want to come out, be social and have fun.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: House Parties Are Prime – Club scene get's old fast. The bar scene holds on a little better. but the true fun is the house parties off campus

5 College Junior

Facilities: The campus of UCF is wonderful to walk around and explore, the staff and students are pleasant. I felt during my visit to campus that the on campus gym was full equipped with up to date machinery. The ultimate piece of machinery was the rock climbing that was readily available in the gym.

4 College Junior

Computers: On a recent trip to the campus of UCF I had readily available my telephonic communication device and needed to use the wifi to access the internet properly. The UCF campus has prompt wireless access and sufficient speed while using it. I had no issues while using the wireless internet on my phone and would highly recommend it to any future students or current ones that have little knowledge about the accessibility of the wireless internet.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Some Strictness, Not Much – There are some rules about jay walking and parking, but nothing too outrageous. The cops are fairly lenient and can be really nice sometimes. The rules have been easing up lately, too. As far as alcohol goes, just be out of clubs and that area at least five minutes before they close, because that's when the busts happen.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Very Safe – I have never found myself worried about my safety. I have no problem going on walks at 3 or 4 in the morning. The biggest crime reported this semester was someone stealing chips from a vending machine, so safety is never a concern.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The area is beautiful. There are clubs and many malls and theaters and such to go if you are ever bored. Every store you could ever need is a short drive away. The area is not sketchy or dirty at all, and I rarely find myself without something to do.

5 College Senior

Facilities: The campus is just huge, and there are a lot of people to meet and things to get involved in.

5 College Senior

Athletics: The athletics are superb, I enjoy going to different games and matches - especially since it coincides with my major.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Lead Scholars Program – One great thing UCF offers in the Lead Scholars Program. Lead is two year program that teaches select students qualities of a good leader, while also encouraging them to volunteer throughout campus. Most Lead Scholars go on to host different volunteer events on their own. Many Lead Scholars also join Greek life.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
