Drug Safety: I have never heard of any serious drinking or drug activity and their is police enforcement for UCF for miles.

5 College Junior

Facilities: There is a doctor's office, dentist office, optometrist, a dozen different places to eat, a gym with several floors and multiple sports fields, a barber shop, a Game Stop, a bank on campus and a four story library.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Athletics at UCf are very important. The friends I hang around with are very into sports but not on any of teh school teams. We do club sports though on campus and we love it. team spirit is pretty good at UCf. The gym is great!

4 College Senior

Computers: The Library has plenty of computers to use. There is also a printing lab in the center of the campus that will allow you to print out paper for free up to a certain amount. Wireless access seems to be good as well.

4 College Senior

Diversity: Diverse Campus – I think that UCF is a very diverse School. There doesnt seem to be moreof one race hen the other. I always see so many differnet races and cultures on campus.

5 College Senior

Campus Dining: UCF has no limitations when it comes food options. Not only is there a large, clean, and tasty Chic-Fil-A, the Student Union has a diverse spectrum of munchies from Chinese, pizza, subs, salads, Mexican, American- you name it, UCF's got it.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: At UCF and surrounding areas, there is much to offer to students. Dining options are prominent throughout the area, as well as student activites (clubs, groups, events, etc.). Sports fans and athletes should never be without something to do, as UCF offers all popular athletics and first-class workout facilities. Only about an hour away, Disney World and Universal Studios remain for a weekend getaway or just a day of fun.

4 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: They have two shuttles that run throughout campus every 15 minutes and then they also have a park and ride service. Some of the local apartments have shuttle rides to campus for their residents for free.

Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: Campus Life – I don't live on campus nor do I know anybody who does.

3 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: The UCF campus is pretty good and the fact that UCF sends email updates to all students on any incidents occurring on campus so we are well informed. I give the security a B- because I don't believe any Campus is secure enough to deserve an A. One issue I have with UCF is that the City bus line drops off anybody including homeless off on campus from Downtown.

4 College Senior

Academics: SARAC Lab – The SARAC lAB AT THE SCHOOL IS VERY HELPFUL FOR INCOMING STUDENTS INTO THE SCHOOL. YOU ARE ABLE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE WITH HOMEWORK, STUDYING AND JUST BASIC COUNSELLING FOR CLASSES.

Scholarships: Difficult Process – It took me multiple attempts to get approved for loans and it still wasn't enough. I was judged incorrectly and the advisers told me there wasn't much I could do about it.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: House parties are a constant living in student housing however clubs do offer a better atmosphere if your of age.

4 College Junior

Academics: The staff are there to help guide and assist you in your specific field of study whether it be accounting, economics, or real estate, and they bridge the gap between class work and real life work with different internship opportunities which helps get us ready for life after college.

3 College Junior

Weather: There are often rainstorms and the class sometimes are not cancelled so students would need to drive and walk in the rain.

5 College Junior

Academics: Knowledgeable Professors – I attended the University of Florida because it was close to home and had numerous opportunities for me to become to the new medical program that they just opened. The teachers for my pre-med department are very knowledgeable on what they are teaching and many of them are doctors themselves.

5 College Student

Campus Dining: So Many Choices – The campus is so big and offers so many different types of food and dining options, from mexican food to asian, and so many more.

4 College Student

Health & Safety: Safety Is a High Priority – I have never felt unsafe on UCF campus. It is a very big campus, but the security is really good.

5 College Sophomore

Weather: Sunny and beautiful most of the time. Tanning by the pool is a regular activity for most of us. It rains in the summer but that's normal, and we work around it.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Nothing Hardcore – Pot is available. For something more hardcore, you would have to really search for it. Drinking and smoking ar pretty popular activities. nbd.

5 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Free Drinks Every Night – Local bars are poppin every night of the week. Cover is typically $5-10 and they have drink specials every night- usually free drinks until midnight. And no one cares about underage drinking. Any fake ID, no matter how bad it looks, will do.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: During orientation diversity was something that UCF felt was very important, they focused on it a lot. They make all students feel welcomed and accepted.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are some good resturants off campus, like Panera Bread and a lot of them offer student discounts if you have your id card.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: New Dorms Are Good but Expensive, Older Dorms Are Awful – The "older" dorms for underclassmen are quite awful. They are very old and not up kept very well. The other "newer" dorms are beautiful but extraordinarily expensive and inconvenient. They are very close to classes but robberies and safety are really a concern. Besides the fact that they are often crowded with non residents visiting their friends, parking is atrocious and the wait list takes forever...

4 College Senior

Facilities: Being a large university the facilities at the University of Central Florida are really state of the art. They are constantly expanding and renovating. The gym is large, but it is often quite crowded due to the sheer amount of students. Students often go there for social reasons too, to be seen working out and to talk to other students. The library is beautiful. It is newly renovated with plenty of seating and 5 floors. I like studying there because there are lots of options, the first few floors are not restricted noise wise and several are, so you can find the places that work for your own study preferences. The bookstore is really accessible and carries most everything you could ever need. There are plenty of places to eat, hang out and study.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
