Scholarships: Initially, I found it a bit difficult to track down helpful and accurate information on how to apply for financial aid and any specific critera, if any, that was required by UCF.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Student Enrichement – The University of Central Florida has gone above and beyond to provide their students and community with fantastic venues for cultral enjoyment. Recently, the school completed a state-of-the-art gym and concert builiding that are enjoyed by many.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Something for Everyone – Central Florida has a little bit of something for just about everyone - from a bustling Downtown, to sporting events, to cultral events, to tourist attractions, to academic opportunites, and lots of outdoor recreation - just to name a few.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: Not Great – I have not really been able to get much financial aid. I don't qualify for the many specific criteria. However UCF does give automatic scholarships to some new students which I really appreciated.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I Enjoyed It – Living on campus worked well for me. I paid a LOT but it was worth it when I was a freshman and sophomore. Some dorms are nicer than others for sure.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Not Too Shabby – UCF has lots of police officers on campus which is comforting. There are emergency posts which could be helpful. I never really feel unsafe

3 College Freshman

Parking: A Crowded Mess – Parking at UCF is managable, but is very chaotic. With 50,000 students, parking can be crazy

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: An Educational Expierence – Our genders at UCF are quite amazing. UCF brings different looks and social habits all over!

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Social Differences; but Not! The UCf campus is extremely diverse. It is full of different cultures and opportunites, but the great thing is that it is all one. Everyone gets along and welcomes each other

3 College Junior

Transportation: It is easy to walk to any place on campus. But getting around Orlando is a pain. Public transportation is nothing like the North East, plus you have florida sun beating on you as you wait for a bus. Get a car if you plan on stepping off campus every once in awhile.

2 College Junior

Campus Strictness: UCF policy on underage drinking and drug use is very serious, especially in student housing. I wouldn't say this is a bad thing, it help's to control the scene. The UCF is also considered to be a party school still.

4 College Junior

Athletics: The atheltics may not be the best in performance but the fan support is unbelievable. UCF has a lot of school spirit and whether your really into school spirit or not, you find yourself magnetized to the buzzing atmosphere!

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Lots of People=Lots of Opportunity – You'll find all sorts of girls at UCF. There is a large variety with the guys too. There are so many students (50,000+) that it is hard to pin it down to groups, which is good because it allows for variety. However, because there are so many people, it might be hard to find your specific niche.

3 College Junior

Computers: Need a Personal Computer and Printer – Many of the courses are hybrid and require online access and tasks. Waiting for the computer labs and printers, while possible, is inconvenient and crowded. I can not imagine functioning without my own computer and printer.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Due to the fact that I am still a freshmen and have yet to finish my general education requirements I have not been able to take classes pertaining to my major. Though I am able to join a internship as soon as my sophomore year starts which I am looking forward to.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: If one is looking it an affordable dorm as a freshmen they should try Apollo and Libra. The luxurious dorms are the Towers which are extremely expenisive a have a strict contract. In between these choices are Hercules and Nike which are quite good and right next to the Recreation and Wellness Center along with the pool.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: There is always something going on it seems at the student union. The school really enforces social time. I like how the school was designed. It is easy to get from one place to the other without getting really lost. There are always e-mails, flyers, word of mouth and other types of advertisements to let you know when the next social event will be. The college experience is awesome.

3 College Junior

Transportation: The cost for parking on campus is high. There are so many students and not enough parking spots. In order to get a parking spot that is close to your class you have to get to school early. Bus system is good though especially if you have to travel from one campus to the other. The bus schedule is convenient. The school attempts to provide other options just in case the student can't afford paying for parking for the semester. There are places to store bikes if you choose to ride your bike to school also they let you use roller blades and skateboards. My main complaint would be the cost for parking but other than that transportation is good.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Campus Life – Good and fun events are arranged by the school for free. Late Knights is one, a monthly program that is awesome. Always has a good turn out and is super cool.

College Freshman

Parking: No Car – Don't have a car so I can't really say. From what I've heard though, it's not bad.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: The library gives you free subscriptions to a wide variety of journals and magazines. It has extensive resources that really come in handy when you are working on a research paper. Additionally, it has 5 floors that get quieter as you go up, so it allows you to choose what level of noise you are comfortable with.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Everyone appears to be active, this not only includes working out but most have a job and an active social life. Orlando is a good looking city and fairly laid back with great weather and beaches nearby.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: this is a wonderful event that is held every semester to give students the opportunity to go out and volunteer in the community. It gives students a chance to make new friends and gain volunteer experience. it is very fun and events can range from volunteering at a local school to assisting in Orlando soup kitchens

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Knights Circle – The place is affordable you get to have your own bathroom and utility is included with the rent. There are buses that takes student to and from the apartment to the University , Wal Mart and other shops are close by so shopping and dining is very convenient

5 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: it really helps the students who can't afford food to be able to gather up some can goods for free

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
