Campus Strictness: The police here are generally very strict towards underage drinking. The punishments seem more intent on ruining one's college career and making life difficult than offering constructive support and counseling. I hope they can make this more effective for students in the future.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: Fairly Decent – The nightlife around UCF is actually fairly decent since Orlando is a large city with a lot going on. There are definitely parties and more mainstream bars in the area or downtown. There are also a few more laid back places like World of Beer or Underground Bluez for people who want to escape the raging clubs. These places also offer a larger selection of craft beers. The one issue is the lack of transportation. I hope to see improvements made to this in the future.

Facilities: The athletic center has a lot of variety. It is a little crowded at most times of the day and some of the equipment is broken. Overall, the students that work there are usually very helpful and there is a variety of activity classes such as zumba, yoga, pilates and spin classes. The student union has convenient computer labs and a large area for students to sit and eat in the dining area. However, I wish there were more healthy options on campus because I typically do not like eating fast food everyday. The library is wonderful and has a great selection. The campus is very easy to get around and I appreciate the circular pattern because it makes it easier to find buildings or plan routes across campus. We could always use a few more parking lots!

Facilities: Networking at Its Prime – The University of Central Florida offers a variety of programs that ensures the students succes inside as well as outside of the classroom. For example, I am currently a member of the "sales club" which allows me to attend monthly conventions to network with fortune 500 companies.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: Alcohol Is King – Due to the fact that I attend a university that is located in a metro-politan area the level of alcohol visibility is at an all time high. Many festivities as well as school events that are held alcohol plays a major factor.

4 College Junior

Academics: Better Than Expected – I'm enrolled in the College of Business and my experience thus far has been better than expected. The staff are always there and willing to answer any questions, and are willing to stay later than their regular office hours to accomodate each students needs and ensure all needs are met.

Drug Safety: This is typically what you'd expect at any other university. Drinking is common on campus and you'll know that marijuana is available here and there. However, as far as I know, hardcore drugs arent that readily available in the area. I figure to get them you'd have to be trying really hard or be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But drinking is definitely the poison of choice at UCF.

Greek Life: Greek Diversity – Greek life is okay. It would be nice to see a little more interaction between councils. I have been to only one event where that took place and I really enjoyed it.

5 College Senior

Nightlife: Late Knights – Night life, or should I say Knoght life is great! Every month UCF hosts this event called Late Knights where we the students can come out and enjoy free food (Jimmy Johns, Fried chichen, etc.)music (DJ in the arena), activities (paintings, video games, paintings etc) and tons of giveaways. This is possibly my favorite part about late knight activities. UCF has mastered it.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: Campus Food Variety – There is a pretty decent variety... I wish we has a Papa Johns. I have not had a meal plan hear. I have however had one while I was at FSU. But overall it is okay, a little expensive at times but okay.I feel like they should offer more student deals, like lunch specials.

5 College Junior

Transportation: Free Shuttles! UCF offers tons of transportation options! We have shuttles that run to and from off campus student living, around the campus, and also shuttles that run to the off site colleges.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The "Z" Grade – Cheating is definitely not allowed in our academic institution. If you are even though to be cheating you will be sent to the board of academic dishonety for a trail haering. If found guilty their will be an official "Z grade" poted on you transcrpt which not only indicates that you failed the class, but notes you used academic dishonesty.

4 College Junior

Computers: Computer Labs – We have alot of computers in our computer labs, but only two labs that offer free printing which is usually very crowded.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Many Choices – If you don't have friends then UCF has plenty of transportation options.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: EVERY CHOICE POSSIBLE – If you're looking for college food then you have any and every choice there is.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I have not had any problems with Financial aid thus far, just keeping on top of turning in the new paperwork at the beginning of each year. There are numerous scholarships listed on the FinAid website, many students forget to check for.

4 College Junior

Diversity: UCF has a very diverse campus, and since UCF has the second highest student body nationally, it's easy to see why. There are student groups for just about every religious, sexual, or ethnic orientation, and then there are special interest groups for just about anything.

4 College Junior

Computers: Honors College exclusive computer lab w/ free printing
Plenty of computers in the Library
free printing in the Student Union
The UCF wireless network is very reliable from almost anywhere on campus

5 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid process is very easy and fast. If you have any problems, the people who work in the FInancial AId office are very friendly and quick to help you with whatever you need.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: Big Club Scene – There are a lot of bars and clubs around UCF that many students frequent plus two bars on-campus. However, for under-21 fun, the best place is Boardwalk Bowl which has a huge bowling alley and arcade. It is so much fun.

5 College Junior

Campus Dining: Good Selection – There are tons of great restaurants on-campus. There is pizza, Chinese, Italian and tons more. There are also many places with large vegetarian options and lots of coffee spots. The library has a good coffee place in it that makes it super easy to get coffee while studying and the bookstore has a Starbucks inside. Plus there are quite a few dining halls.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports Are Very Intense. Sports are very big here at UCF. Everyone is amped up ready for game days on Saturday ready to cheer on their black and gold. Many families come out. More than you can imagine. There is also plenty of students in support of their black and gold.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Diversity Is in This University. UCF has a lot of different people with different walks of light entering its campus. There is plenty of people who are friendly, always helping you out if you get lost, and also very driven and studious. In the library, there is so many people studying and working so if you need help, more than likely your fellow neighbor will give you the answer.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I like that UCF has a lot of local shops and restaurants. Sometimes it gets boring eating the same thing every day so it is nice to be able to have that walking accessibility to go and eat somewhere else. You can also go down the street to Waterford in your car if you aren't much of a walker and go eat there. While you are there you can go to Target, Marshalls, or the other clothing stores. You can also get your hair, makeup, and nails done all in one day.

3 College Senior

Majors: I am in the Marketing program. Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. There are many resources out there for success, such as clubs and other academic services.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
