Athletics: UCF has a fast-growing athletic program. With the construction of a brand new stadium and arena, the athlete program has started to get more national attention. School spirit is higher than ever, and will continue to get bigger. IM sports are pretty popular, too, and you will always find a game of ultimate frisbee going on somewhere on campus.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Students at UCF are extremely diverse. Everyone has different interests, and there is a club for EVERYTHING. We have a hip-hop club, a sword fighting club, professional society clubs, and even a chocolate club. Students look very different, as UCF is a melting pot of cultures and nationalities. People dress pretty similar- col clothes when it is hot, and warm clothes when it is cool. The Greek life is very active. UCF is just a great place to meet and interact with a variety of people.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: There are a wide range of ethnicities and races at UCF. As you can imagine, the second largest school, population wise, in the nation has a lot of different students. If I had to guess, I'd say that the majority of the students were white but closely followed by Hispanics.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Everything on the UCF campus is fairly new. Some of the students jokingly say UCF is an acronym for 'Under Construction Forever' because of all of the new buildings going up every year. The gym is very nice, and there are additions to come. The Student Union is neat also, especially every month when the "Late Knights" events are held. You can find students hanging out there in between classes all day, literally, now that it's open 24 hours during the week.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: Anyone of any age can have a great night life here. There are probably a lot of frat parties but I stay away from that scene. There are four great clubs literally across the street that are all 18 and up. The 21+ bars are all downtown.

3 College Junior

Diversity: More White – There are quite a bit more white people but that doesn't bother me. It may bother other people more.

3 College Junior

Computers: The computer labs are pretty easy to access and the library computers are almost impossible to find open. The wireless in the library is horrible.

5 College Junior

Majors: Health Information Management – My program, has a very high workload but I love it. Although there is a lot to do, once I keep a pretty strict schedule I am fine. The program director is always there to help and answer any questions which is great. They help you every step of the way to achieve your goals.

4 College Junior

Athletics: The Athletics at my school is awesome, the teams are doing better than they have done before. School spirit is great. The football team is doing really good and I can't wait for basketball season to start.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: My school is located in the perfect area, there a lot of things to do, and it is in a safe atmosphere.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drugs and Alcohol – I don't live on campus, so I don't see it at all. Drinking is very big especially for tailgating for football games.

3 College Freshman

Weather: The weather is usually pretty nice though tends to change at random times which makes it kind of difficult to be prepared.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There are lots of guys on campus from surfers, to geeky, to redneck, to preppy; and there are lots of them.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Life to Live – There is a lot of things that can be done in Orlando from visiting local museums to going to theme parks and attractions to the numerous amounts of dining options that can fit any budget. There are enough things to do to keep life interesting.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Barrington Apartments – I am currently staying at Barrington Apartments and so far I like it. It's a nice place and I feel safe.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: From the places I've tried for food at UCF, like Smoothie King and the Mexican restaurant, they're pretty good. I love these two. I have tried Asian Chao but had a bad experience, food was dry, and the eggs in the friend rice had a weird blue color.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I Will Go Through With It. While I feel they are trying I feel like all I am doing is buying my diploma I am a Computer science major so I will most likely be programming something in the future however, our freedom and creativity to try programming things in different way has been taken from us and we are left with what the teachers exactly want us to do. With out creativity to try to program in new and our own ways some people may find programming to be more of a task then an experience causing them to leave the field where they could have succeeded.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Campus Activities. UCF offers lots of activities for students to be involved in almost every week. They can be fun, educational, and a way to get involved in campus activities.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: They have 6-7 garages that have to be empty by midnight which make people who living on campus fill the lots. This causes traffic because the lots are the easiest thing to get into but since they are full people have to funnel into the garages causing major traffic jams.

2 College Sophomore

Computers: Wireless Is Terrible – The Wireless systems here are terrible and half the time do not allow people to even connect to them. The computers around campus are nice but the school provides no information how to log into them unless you ask one of the tech people. This is extremely an problem when you are in any location where there are no tech people around to tell you how to log in so the computers go relatively unused by the students who have not received this information.

3 College Junior

Weather: it often sucks when ti rains do to the campus being mostly out doors

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I personally have not experienced crime since I have been on this campus (2 years.) I do receive occasional emails via the UCF emergency system warning of crime. I do believe that most of these can be prevented with situational awareness and threat prevention training.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: It is a lot of fun here, the campus is great, football games are fun, almost everything about UCF is cool.

4 College Junior

Diversity: There is a wide variety of ethnicity's on campus, I've seen people from other countries and states

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safe for Me – There are a lot of students here, but I am never on campus at the very late hours, however there are a lot of incidents at the early morning hours

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
