Computers: Printing on Campus – I love going to the Student Government Association Computer Lab in the Student Union to print very long documents that I don't want to print at home. The only downside is that there is always a wait. But it is so convenient and I love that I can save so much money on paper and ink by having access to FREE printing at the SGA computer lab.

Transportation: Transportation is readily available to all students and are frequently used. There are a couple different bus route options which helps students get to where they need to around Orlando.

Campus Housing: Living in Libra Community – My dorm is very spacious and not the "typical" college dorm style. I love how I have a sink area and a bathroom that I only share with three other girls. The community is very clean, and my building is very accessible to all of my classrooms. The cost is just right, making this community earn it's A.

Majors: Returning for a Second Degree - Hope This One Makes Me Happy – I originally graduated with a business degree that basically proved pointless in todays economy except to land me a secretarial or customer service job. Therefore I'm going back to get a degree that will hopefully put me in a job where my true passion has always been - with wildlife. Even just pursuing a degree in biology will open many doors for me. Sure, I may not get the best paying job but at least I'll be happy in the path my life took instead of running to get coffee for my boss.

Overall Experience: Needs to Be More Student Friendly and More Parking! I'm back at this school for my second bachelor's...hopefully this time around I'll actually enjoy some classes. One thing I think this school really lacks is its ability to help out students. There are departments and buildings for each little thing and as a young adult already stressed about classes, financial aid and finding your calling it's hard to make sense of the college processes. Perhaps the university is too big...you feel more like a dollar sign than an asset. And the parking is horrendous! They make students pay an outrageous amount for a parking permit, yet we have to drive around for half an hour to find a spot - and this usually involves stalking somebody.

Majors: Not very happy, if I could redo it I would go for something else at a different school. Only bright side is that I can take most or all of my courses on line. Program is perfect for Teachers, if you are not one, then you need to rethink this degree, I found out the hard way.

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus or in off-campus housing. However, there is a lot of reports of shots fired, muggings, stolen vehicles, and home invasions. I would definitely stay away from off-campus housing.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Dining at UCF is ok. Things are unbelievable high. At some places you even receieve less than you would if you where to drive off campus. There are some different places, but for the most part its all the same. It is worth it to drive off campus for lunch or bring your lunch.

Greek Life: Greek Versus GDI – My boyfriend is in a fraternity and it's a nice "family" scene, but I'm personally against Greek life anywhere on/near a college campus.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: I really don't go out that much but when I do the local bars are gross, as in dirty floors, atmosphere, and bathroom but they are pretty good set ups for socializing and meeting new people. Don't hate them, just don't love them.

3 Recent Alumnus

Majors: Lots of Choice No Pay – If you want an internship you can find one easily, you'll even get school credit with almost no hassle. Sadly, like most internships you don't get paid.

5 Recent Alumnus

Nightlife: No Better Place – UCF night life is amazing. Luckily for us every one has to compete. There are so many students that everyone has to offer a great deal. Drinks are cheap and there's always some place to go.

4 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: UCF has over 50,000 students. Some love football some love soccer, but everyone's always outside playing something. When it comes time for tail gating you barely see the ground. The campus totally transforms into a city.

Overall Experience: Everyone Loves Florida – It's perfect here. It's a huge and beautiful campus filled with so many students. My favorite thing is the walk back from the library to my dorm, when I get to walk past these troubadours playing guitars and drums.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports, especially football and basketball, are very important at UCF. In fact, our campus is just beginning to emerge in sports. We are quite a large community and we love our knights!

3 College Freshman

Computers: Printing, Computer Labs, Need Personal Computer/Printer – Overall, UCF has an amazing setup for students. There are places to print in the student union, but I would suggest bringing your own printer. You can copy pages of books for free in the library. And, in beginning level math courses you're required to attend a computer lab for credit. The library also provides computers. So technically it's not required and you can get by without one, but I highly suggest getting a personal computer and printer.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: Having a Car Is Not Mandatory – UCF provides shuttle buses for transportation to your apartments and for all your partying needs! UCF also offers their students 3 vouchers a semester for free cab rides anywhere you please!

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is pretty sweet for what you're getting. Most of the apartments include all amenities, so you won't have to pay for the water or electricity bill.

Facilities: University of Central Is Amazing. When I say there's always something to do, I'm not kidding! There's over 300 clubs to get involved in. There's a club for anything & everything, & if they don't have a club you're looking for, then make one! I love the gym. That is probably my favorite part. It's so beautiful. The campus itself is gorgeous. Since UCF is a pretty new school, all the facilities are pretty new. I love UCF and I don't regret coming here. GO KNIGHT!! :)

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: I Get Around – If you choose to live off campus and don't have a car, have no fear!! University of Central Florida has designated shuttles that come to each student housing community, free of charge! The shuttles run until 10:00pm every night, except on Fridays. In lieu of Fridays, there is a KnightLynx bus, which is a service provided by our public transportation system, which allows students free admission from 8:00pm-3:00am with a valid student ID on Friday and Saturday evenings. If not, you can always catch the city bus (Lynx) for $2.00 anytime.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Late Night Snacking – The dining hall is open till midnight when you want to get something to eat. There is also a chick-fil-a on campus which no other school has.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Study Halls – There are plenty of places on campus where you can go and study. Many places are open till after midnight which is great when you need time to get away and study.

4 College Freshman

Academics: In big lecture halls the professors make themselves available to every student. They have resources for students to make good grades.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Home Away from Home – Located on the eastside of Orlando, University of Central Florida is what brings the city to life. In fact, if you weren't careful, you would think that the university was a city all on its own, as it sits upon acres and acres of land. Not to mention it feels as though most of the theme parks are in our backyard.

5 College Senior

Facilities: SGA Making Leaps and Bounds – Last year the SGA opened up a study room near the Arena and the Towars on-campus apartments. It is open 24 hours during the week with lots of hours on the weekends as well. This year they changed the Student Union hours. It is now also open 24 hours 5 days a week and offers study areas as well as social areas to hang out with your friends. The Student Union also has free Scantrons for students and is home to the SGA ticket counter where you can get discounted tickets to local attractions.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
