Academics: Health Sciences Pre Clinical – I am in the college COHPA. I am a Health Sciences Pre Clinical major and I am very satisfied with my college. The advisors are very supportive and are always there to help with any questions. The intructors are very passionate about their field of study and most of them only instruct as a second job because they love it. The curriculum covers all aspects of the health care field allowing you to choose any health graduate program.

Local Atmosphere: Always Something to Do – Orlando is a big city with tons of things to do. There is Disney, Universal, Sea World, and many other fun attractions to go to in your spare time. One thing Orlando is not lacking is shopping! There are malls everywhere you look. The city itself is very spread out and has a smaller downtown area than that of Atlanta or L.A. There are many sporting events to go to. There are constantly concerts coming to town at the House of Blues or Hard Rock. It is a great place full of lots of excitement.

Local Atmosphere: Orlando in general with all the Theme parks is already fun its self but to be able to be sooo close to it now is wonderful. Although, I don't go there a lot, since I'm now closer, but it is good to know it is right there.

Local Atmosphere: Endless Things to Do – Orlando. What more needs to be said? A massive city with world-wide known attractions. Disney World and Universal Studios are less than 30 minutes away, as well as the excitement of a tourist-filled Downtown Disney/Kissimmee area. As you get closer to UCF, you will pass by Downtown Orlando, location of a multitude of clubs and bars, as well as the home of the Orlando Magic basketball team and the state of the art new Amway Center. Once you've reached UCF, you are welcomed with some of the best local restaurants around and tons of exciting UCF bars that make our "knightlife." Waterford Lakes shopping center is also located a near 5 minutes from campus, where you can find any store that you need. Orlando is a fast-paced, fun-filled, young, emerging town with a University now second largest in the nation. It's great to be a Knight.

Majors: I Love My Major – I am an elementary education major. The professors are very knowledgeable of the course material and they provide the students with valuable information of what to expect when we become educators.

4 College Junior

Academics: Great Professor – So far all my professors at UCF have been amazing. They are very knowledgeable of the curriculum and they know how to teach the material in an interesting way.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando Is Awesome! I love everything about Orlando, it has many attractions, shopping areas, and a lot of sunshine. There is always something to do and places to see.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Serious Stuff – Being a computer science major is no joke. However, they made decision-making just a tad bit easier by drawing a diagram concerning which classes are required. They also have special tutoring programs for challenging courses called AllKnight Tutoring.

Local Atmosphere: The stereotypical of rude Floridians are demolished by the residents in Orlando or specifically, the area outside of University of Central Florida. During daytime, it's a homely environment with strangers smiling for no apparent reason and having manners that was one thought to be extinct. During nighttime, neon lights glow where everyone gathers to enjoy the night life.

Majors: Accounting Internship Hopes – I have not yet had an internship, but I do hope to get one next year. I don't think it will be too difficult to get one becuase I belong to a business fraternity that helps you build relationships with fims to make connections

4 College Junior

Academics: Ucf does a really good job offering high quality classes. The school offers a variety of classes so you can find what fits you best. Also the registration process is very clear and easy.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando Is Like a Playground – There are so many things to do in Orlando all the time! Ucf is very close to so many attractions. Many of my friends have passes to theme parks such as Disney, Islands of Adventure, and Sea World. The nightlife is great in the downtown area and there are always nice places to eat. Also if you like sports, Orlando is home of the ORLANDO MAGIC NBA team. There is never a dull moment in O-Town!!!

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The area around where the University is located is truly a college area. There is an immense amount of students and also school pride. Near the school, there is a shopping center called Waterford Lakes, it offers a plethora of stores, restaurants, and even a movie theater. Within minutes you are also able to go to the amusement parks close by such as, Universal Studios or Disney World. Not only is there campus police but there is also a lot of police patroling the area because there are also families with young children in the area. Safety of the students and everyone else is very important. The school is always hosting cultural events such as taste of UCF. You get to learn about other cultures and learn about there culture. Not only is there culture but there's also sports. Orlando has an NBA team and the college teams that get a lot of attention.

Local Atmosphere: Great busing system. Living is exceptional. Many things to do off campus.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando Living – Orlando is an enjoyable place to live. In Orlando you get a good balance because it has downtown Orlando which is similar to a mini New York City where I am from and then you also have all the amusement parks just twenty minutes away. Also near the University of Central Florida there are many places to have fun and great places to eat.

Academics: Biology Major – I was a transfer student, so I did not get the same treatment as a Freshman does. The orientation was literally a joke, they did not give a tour of the campus, they took us to a building put people in groups based on major and told us to sign up for our classes. Brand new school and I felt like everyone expected us tranfers to already know what the school is like and the tools that are available. I love my major. The only thing I am not happy with are some of the professors, really, you cant get a fluent english speaking teacher to teach math, physics or chemistry, the harder subjects? Its ok because there are plenty of tools around campus, that the transfer students arn't told about. I found a lot of the tools the hard way, by getting close to failing before the professor mentioned anything.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Lots of things to do around town. There is Disney and Seaworld close by, come on it's orlando, Fl. Beaches are less than an hour drive, Even if you don't have much cash there are fun events around town.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The school academics at the school for me as been great. The professors are awesome and always do whatever they can to help you do the best you can. The registration process is easy and doesn't take long to do at all. The workload at the school isnt to bad at all but you can get a lot work in classes the higher up you get there. The school offers all kinds of different study groups for students to attend to get more help if needed for all there classes.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere around UCF is amazing. There is so much to do around the campus and throughout Orlando as a whole. The campus is always putting on events for the students to attend that are always fun and enjoyable. It is impossible to be bored there. If your not doing anything around campus, you could go to downtown Orlando and go to all the different malls or go to the amusement parks there. There are a a lot parks in the area and if you enjoy to golf, there are a ton of golf courses to go play. There are always sporting events going not around at the school and they are always fun to attend, especially football games on Saturday. The community around UCF is great towards students and always have deals and are kind to them all and always willing to help out. The school is always worried about the safety of the students and do whatever it takes by taking them safe and looking out for them. UCF as a whole is amazing and I love it there. Its a great atmosphere and I would tell everyone I know to give it a shot because I know they would love it there just as much as i do.

4 College Junior

Majors: I Don't Regret Engineering – The engineering program at UCF is growing and it is slowly becoming one of the best ones in the state, maybe even nation. Although they could improve by bringing in better professors, there are so many great things about the department.

3 College Junior

Academics: We have two brand new buildings in the Engineering Department, equipped with amazing computer labs and study areas. There are some really amazing teachers and some awful ones. I think that is the most concerning thing. Sometimes you are stuck with the best of the worst, making you very uninterested in your class and even your major. UCF partners with a lot of large corporations to offer great internships to students.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: More Than a Tourist Town – Orlando is a moderate size town. Although it is known for it's theme parks and tourist areas, Orlando is so much more than that. Downtown Orlando is beautiful, clean and relatively safe. There is always something going on. Only 15-20 minutes away from UCF main campus, def. a good place to spend your weekends.

4 College Freshman

Majors: My academic advisor helped me a lot when i changed my major to biology. The online undergraduate course catalog list out all the requirements that one needs in order to complete this major.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The professors are always available through email and are willing to meet during office hours. There are a lot of places to study and they encourgage you to form study groups.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Orlando Has a Lot to Offer Students. Orlando has lots of activities to offer Univeristy of Central Florida students. There are a lot of malls and theres also them parks to entertain students on weekends.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
