4 College Sophomore

Computers: There are always computers available at UCF. Computers are available in the study lounge, a plethora in the library, as well as the engineering building. During finals, the school sets up more computers for the studying students.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: A lot of kids do Hookah outside their dorms at night. Drugs are prevalent at UCF but they do not harm the lives of kids.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Lack of School Spirit – UCF has very little school spirit compared to other major universities. Our gym though is one of our best athletic facilities. Student involvement of sports is very mixed at UCF. Sometimes a lot of kids are involved and sometime very few.

4 College Freshman

Computers: Excellent Resources – The computer labs at UCF are always open and available to all the kids. They are rarely crowded and you can generally find a computer to use. Wifi is excellent on campus and in the dorms. They are constantly upgrading their wireless and everyday, you see more and more wifi appears on campus. Every student gets 20 free pages of printing a day which is AWESOME!

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Typical college scholarship offerings and process. No one really goes out of their way to inform you of the scholarships, but theres easy to access info and plenty of it if you're looking. If you already declared a major and are part of a school, you'll recieve e-mail notifications about scholarships within that school.

3 College Senior

Parking: Ticket Central – There is ALOT of parking on campus, but ALOT of students with cars to go with it. You definitely need a car unless you're living on campus and don't work. DO NOT park your car in a lot that does not match your parking decal or you will have a ticket within 10 minutes. Parking fines are $40, $50 if you pay them late. Permits are somewhat pricey, but pay for themselves after 2+ tickets. Don't risk it!

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: Tons of Options – There are several dining options at UCF. In the student union alone there are 6 different restaurants to choose from. In the breezway there is Chik-Fil-A, vending machines all over, a cafe and starbucks, a food truck, and the cafeteria for students with meal plans. The campus could use a few more quick, fast healthy options.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: Party Hard – People at UCF like to work hard, and play harder. There is usually a party or activity going on at a local bar/club every night. You will never get bored here. Sometimes though, there is a little too much emphasis on the party, since most activities are geared for 21+ fun.

5 College Senior

Athletics: School Support – Varsity football is a big part of campus life. Go Knights! At times it overshadows other sports, however everyone is very supportive regardless of the sport/club. The school spirit is obvious, and the athletic facilities are more than adequate.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Minimal Threats on Campus – The UCF Campus is relatively quiet and crime-free. You do hear the occasional story of someone's ipod being stolen, but those seem to be isolated incidents. I feel quite safe walking to the dorms alone at night. There are is an ample amount of security guards, substantial lighting, and emergency stations.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Men's Restrooms Are a Relief – UCF is awesome, first and foremost. Restrooms being near and dear to my heart then, it joys me to say that 9 out of 10 (men's) restrooms can be found regularly kept in a pristine state of cleanliness. Those in the Union are especially comfortable. I must admit, though, a certain natural law: that the more obscure the restroom, the less likely it may be to reach such a standard. There is, for example, a noticeable contrast between the third floor of the Engineering building and the recently constructed Music building, or the nook of the Breezeway and the Education Complex. However, given that most of us won't find ourselves in such hideaways, it is safe to say that when you find yourself in a UCF restroom it will more than likely be a relief indeed.

5 College Senior

Campus Strictness: Punishments Are Severe – Campus police are very strict. Little things such as your car not being parked in the right spot to speeding and drinking and driving. They do not tolerate underage drinking especially at football games.

5 College Senior

Diversity: UCF is very diverse, walking around campus you see all types of different people with different backgrounds, religions, and even sexual orietations.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I Need More! I had to fill out FAFSA this year to claim my bright futures, but I wish I could get some other use out of that whole process. My dad makes a LOT of money in a year, but what FAFSA doesn't inquire is how much debt the family is in. I'm likely ineligible for any other financial aid, even though my parents need it right now.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Campus administrators and faculty stress with persistence the importance of safe behavior as well as the consequences for acting inappropriately and participating in illegal activity. Police roam tailgates to keep students in line, however punishments are rarely severe for over-stepping these boundaries. Generally, if you're not making a huge scene, and you're walking around a tailgate with a beer, cops won't give you a hard time. I love UCF!

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Abundance of Choices – Just outside of the campus boundaries lies a road with over 20 different restaurants and cafes. Students with virtually any preference can enjoy a meal around the UCF area. Greek life hangs out at Applebee's because they're open really late and it's a convenient location for after chapter meetings on Sundays. Lazy Moon, Boradway pizza and El Cerro are also popular choices for their cheap deals and drink specials.

4 College Junior

Computers: A personal computer is a must, and bringing your own printer would also be a good idea because the printing labs are ALWAYS busy, and you can only print 10 pages a day. There are many computer labs, but there are sometimes time limits, and are not open all the tim.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: I got a good amount approved for aid and I got a UCF scholarship as well. It was a nice surprise!

4 College Senior

Transportation: Transportation in UCF seems to be right on point. I see UCF shuttles all over campus. I dont use them because I have my own car, but it seems to be a great option.

5 College Senior

Athletics: Athletic Facilities – The athletic facilities in UCF are amazing and the recreation center is great! You have so much space and so many options. In addition they have great classes such as martial arts, yoga, weight lifting, and much more. Its a great way to keep students active.

4 College Junior

Transportation: Transportation around UCF is pretty great. They have shuttles to and from all the local student apartments and even shuttles across campus.

3 College Junior

Computers: There are tons of computers in the library and computer labs around campus. They get crowded during the day, but it is still usually fairly in find one to use. The wireless internet access is sometimes difficult to log on to and can be slow. The Student Government printing lab is great though, it has free printing to all students.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: College of Nursing – UCF has a College of Nursing that has state of the art equipment. There is a whole floor dedicated to machines that simulate what actually happens in hospitals like the birth of a child or a heart attack. The only thing is that is it very hard to get into the College of Nursing because they only take about 20 students.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Bleeding Black and Gold! UCF is the greatest place to be! The social life is great for any student, classes are interesting, there are many study opportunities to help with classes, and the campus all around is a great place to be. I love being a Knight and I'm so happy with my decision to come to UCF. Go Knights!

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: So Many Apartments! There are many apartment choices arouns the University of Central Florida campus. There is only one that if affiliated with the campus, so it is the only one that takes financial aid. The other apartment complexs are all really nice and accomidation for college students. They are all reasonably affordable and some are actually really large for the rent price. It is not hard to find off campus housing that everyone will love.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
