5 College Freshman

Facilities: Well rounded academic programs, socials and great campus life.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Amosphere is friendly there is something for everyone.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: Keep You on Your Toes! You have to always check and recheck to make sure everything is in line. It's really easy for things to fall out of wack with financial aid, so you have to be very efficient and tedious when it comes to money.

2 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: UCF varies dramatically with its school policies. Whenever a situation surfaces, the school makes an extreme change. However, there's never any moderation or maintenance of the change, making it difficult to follow at times.

4 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: Go Jocks! Sports is big at UCF. Everyone is pretty much a loyal knights fan and we always go cheer the team on no matter the sport. Football is overwhelming big among the students and the community. And whether we win or lose, it's all fun!

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Its Fine Here – There aren't a ton of places nearby, but there are some good restaurants within a half hour of driving

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Eh, Its Ok – There isn't much on campus here. The gym is really packed and the only sports team nearby is the Magic which isn't too bad. Traffic is really terrible and there is always a cop siren going off. The beach is a good drive away but its not unreasonable.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: What You Don't Know, Won't Hurt You! Greek life is a secret society. What goes on in a Greek life is kept confidential. The Greek houses on campus are huge and sometime you don't know if a student is in a Sorority or Fraternity unless they let you know.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: A Diverse World – This college is comprised of largely whites. With also a strong distribution of hispanics, blacks, asians and others. I personally feel welcomed by all ethic groups at UCF. UCF is a huge family that is willing to help you better yourself disregarding your ethnic/racial background.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining offer more choices and the cost is cheaper if not the same. The quality is sometime better. Off-campus dining provides a wide-variety of food.

4 College Senior

Transportation: School Shuttles – the school shuttle is the best option if you live near or on campus. if you drive to school, you can park in a garage and walk between classes or catch the shuttle to get to your next class.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Drinking is much of the popular scene especially tailgating at football games. If you're interested in other stuff, it depends on the type of people that you hang out with.

4 College Senior

Computers: They have lots of Access for computers, MAC and PC and the wireless is very nice.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Pretty Safe – I have never really felt unsafe on campus, but I spend most of my time on campus during the day and avoid walking around at night time.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Parking Sucks, Use the Bus – Knights Circle buses are the best! I'm not very informed on any other transportation options offered by UCF.

College Junior

Nightlife: Under 21 Sucks – Lots of 18 and up clubs around UCF but most things to do around here would be more fun if you were 21...or rich.

3 College Junior

Diversity: There are so many different backgrounds that are identified at UCF. There is a club for almost everybody there and I see many people from other countries flocking to the school. I do wish that caucasians were looked at more though...I LOVE diversity but half of the scholarships from UCF are for people with Latin, African American, or Asian backgrounds. I just believe we all deserve the same amount of recognition and opportunity.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Social Life – Both girls and guys get along pretty well at UCF. Most events are for both genders and we jus all come at once and have fun. Sometimes the guys try to show off their moves, but guys will always b guys. Socially its great because its jus not hanging with one gender, but its mixed. Of course there are seperate guys and girls organizations, but for the most part it is diverse.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: UCF's dinning hall are great to eat at. They have two located on campus: Market Place and Knightros. They are both delicious and have a variety of food to choose from. They serve break lunch and dinner Monday-Friday and brunch and dinner Saturday-Sunday. The menu changes everyday, so you never have to eat the same thing all the time. Also if you dont want to eat it they will allow you to take a plate to go. Both dinning hall are great and I am glad to have a meal plan because I will never go hungry.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The University of Central Florida always tries to keep its students entertained in a safe environment. The first week back UCF have a welcome full of free activiteies for the students to welcome them to the campus and its great. They have something for everyone. Also every month they have this event called Late Knights. It is a special event with a different theme each time giving fun, entertainment, food, prizes, and so much more for the students. Also as well they have other great events each month making sure that the students stay together. Its a way to meet new people and have fun. Its a safe environment as well so yiu dont have to go no where else outside the campus where danger follows.

5 College Senior

Academics: I believe that UCF is a budding campus that allows for all sorts of innovative ideas.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Friendliness Is the Key – Knights are by far the FRIENDLIEST people you'll met. I remember walking through UF and FSU's campus with no one willing to help or wanting to start a conversation. While walking through UCF random people will start a conversation with you or if someone see's you look lost they are willing to help you find your way. UCF is the second biggest campus in the nation therefore a helping had is often needed. The campus is constantly creating events and games in order for students to interact with other students giving people a chance to make friends. Who wouldn't want to go to a college like that?

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: You Can Have It All. My experiences thus far has been amazing. My roommate is my best friend, although many people may think that it was a bad idea i don't regret it one bit. Rooming with your best friend is great as long as you both keep an opened communication and are willing to compromise in some situations. The school is full of activities and there's many choices to pick from everyday, the best part is that its all for free. So far my favorite event has been KnightRave and a concert. For the days that i don't feel like 'going out' into a noise party and want to have some time alone there is always nature trails i can walk around Lake Claire. Not to mention our great gym with all its high tech equipment and its amazing classes. There is never a boring day at UCF and this is why i love being here.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The Knight Way to Live. Dorm life in UCF is as good as it gets. Hercules and Nike dorms were recently build and have a new retro feeling to them. The dorm includes a bathroom only shared by four people instead of a community bathroom that you may get anywhere else. The first floor comes with high sealing and a a good proximity to the pool and the gym. The only down side to living in the best dorms at UCF is that the classes are a 10 to 20 minute walk away, which can be easily fixed by riding a bike or a skateboard to class. The student union is in the center of the school, giving all students an easy access to them from every direction.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Being a new student in a new city, it's a little intimidating. However, I don't feel like a number here. I'm really happy with my decision to attend UCF.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
