4 College Junior

Transportation: The transportation at UCF appears to be very available; however, I have never actually utilized this service.

3 College Junior

Academics: Research Heavy – One of the pros and cons of my program is the heavy emphasis on research. There are many opportunities for some students to become involved with faculty on research projects; however, there seems to be some favoritism as to which students are actively invited to participate.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Somewhat Boring. I'm just here so I can get to grad school quicker, the football games are fairly exciting, though.

5 College Sophomore

Transportation: Really Convenient – There are shuttles going to and from campus and within the campus and all are free to students.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are students from all backgrounds and cultures. UCF is very diverse and welcoming to all cultures.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Great Variety – There are plenty of options for off-campus dining in the area.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: About Average – I haven't really had any run-ins myself so it's hard to rate this. I know that in the dorms they are EXTREMELY strict about pot but not so much about drinking under-age. Other than that I don't know.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Dorm Life Is the Good Life- If You Have a Car – Now that I live off campus, I really miss my dorm! It was great to roll out of bed and into class and to live so close to friends! However, being trapped there wasn't great. So many of the restaurants close on the weekends and it can be like a ghost town. I'd recommend it if you have a car for sure.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Pretty Good – There are a lot of pretty good dining options around campus, both healthy and not so healthy. I would give it an A if it weren't for the meal plans- they are definitely over-priced, and a lot of the food in the two areas that mostly work for the meal plan use tons of butter in their food. Since I haven't been on a meal plan I have saved a lot of money and lost weight- even though I actually go out to eat more than I did previously.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Drug Scene – The drug scene at UCF doesn't seem to be too big. It seems like everyone parties.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: There are a wide variety of fraternitys and sororities on campus ranging from regular ones to christian ones to health professionals to co-ed ones.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Hercules Dorms – I stayed there for my first summer B semester at UCF. The rooms were pretty small. It got pretty loud at night on the floors. There were sometimes bugs. The location is good for the dining facility though.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: You mostly only see drinking activity, drug is rare.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It's Reasonable. I think most of the campus rules (no alcohol in dorms, general responsible behavior, etc) are reasonable. A couple things I don't agree with however are the prohibiting of wifi (and the amount of trouble you can get in for having it)and the early closing times of absolutely everything on campus. I think it's ridiculous to not be allowed to bring your own wifi when the dorm doesn't supply it, especially with all the devices that lack a port for an Ethernet cable. Also, I believe things should be open later on campus. Everything is closed by 6pm. If not the food places, I believe the recreational places should remain open later, especially on weekends. I think it's not unreasonable to want to hang out by the pool on a Saturday night.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I Know Some – I haven't really explored the off-campus housing, though I know there's quite a few campus affiliated complexes to choose from. Because of my lack of knowledge on their conditions, I give it a B. Personally, I love living on campus. It's easier to be spontaneous with friends or academics when everything is relatively close by. Plus, I don't need to spend money on a permit to park a car. You don't need a car when everything is in walking distance (granted it's a lot of walking because the campus is huge).

3 College Freshman

Computers: It's Usable – The computer labs and printing on campus is fine, usually very convenient and quick as well as very cheap. However it's the network that annoys me. It works in buildings with classrooms, but there is absolutely no internet in the dorms! It renders convenient technology requiring wireless connection (ex- printers, Ipads, etc) completely useless. It's impossible to do group projects in the dorm when internet is required and there's only one port for an Ethernet cable. Not to mention the fact it renders you pretty much immobile.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Decent but Fun Atomosphere – The places to eat around campus are fairly decent. There are a few options that are quick and simple. The thing students enjoy most is the atmosphere. It is a fun place to come hang out and relax from all the stress with your friends.

1 College Junior

Computers: Bring Your Own Computer – The computer labs at the University of Central Florida Ocala Regional campus are locked unless a class is meeting in those rooms. As there is free WiFi, I highly recommend bringing a personal computer. Students can do things such as homework, research, and entertainment. If a student do not own a personal computer, it could be a severe hindrance.

3 College Senior

Weather: It's Florida – It rains a lot here, but not for long periods of time. Classes don't usually get cancelled because of the weather unless we are anticipating a hurricane.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: UCF is conveniently located near a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. Whether you are in the mood for a sit down meal or a grab and go lunch, University Blvd has something that will satisfy any hungry college student.

4 College Senior

Academics: Special Study Options – UCF affords students every opportunity to be successful. The Student Academic Resource Center offers tutoring for a variety of subjects and is always available when you need it. Additionally, UCF's Student Union is open 24hrs a day so that students always have a convenient and quiet place to study.

4 College Junior

Majors: UCF internship program provided you with an opportunity to learn about what your future career could be like.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I usually feel very safe at UCF. However, the campus could use more lighting in parking lots.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: Night Life – I don't usually go out very much, but i do like house parties. They are free and typically safe if you know the people.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: There are many places to eat, however the lines are frequently long.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
