Campus Dining: I feel that while the UCF dinning area is nice, it could use more healthy options.

Off-Campus Dining: The most popular college eateries are pizza at Lazy Moon, mexican food at El Cerro, gelati at Jeramiahs, breakfast at Bagel Bagel, Moes, and Panera. All of these restaurants are within 6 miles or less from each other. All are budget friendly and you can always find college students around.

Computers: The computers are newer and the labs offer mac or pc which is nice. There are several print labs on campus, but the only ones that allow you to print for free are the two in the student union. These are usually packed and you are waiting in line for a long time. You are only allowed to print black and white, 20 pages per day. It's nice having free printing, but I feel like student government can make more free print labs around campus.

Local Atmosphere: More Than a College Town – The UCF area is neat because there are a lot of restaurants, shopping malls, and college bars around the school. If you need a change of scenery, downtown orlando is only 15-20 minutes away and is filled with night life and up scale restaurants. We aren't too for from all the attractions on International Drive either. There are a variety of attractive options and there is something for everyone.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: There Is a Lot of Paperwork – The amount of paperwork is reasonably extensive, but its worth it. Unfortunately, as the tuition increases, the availability decreases.

Weather: Sunshine Most of the Time but Watch Out for the Rain! For the most part, weather in central Florida is pretty warm. However, you have to be prepared for Hurricane season rainstorms, which usually semi-flood the area due to the landscape that well-suited fro holding water.

Greek Life: Greek life at UCF breaks all the sterotypical ideals of what a sorority or fraternity is about. For the most part, greek societies are considered to be central for the the "party" aspect of a college experience. While societies on the UCCF campus are very social-oriented, most sororities and fraternities are heavily involved in community service and charity work. In fact, one fraternity on campus is listed as being the number one contributing organization for community efforts. I'm proud to say that the culture at UCF is about more than the individual and more about communal unity.

Weather: The weather usually doesn't affect campus experience. Once in a while, there is a severe storm with alot of lightning that will cause campus to shut down

3 College Freshman

Facilities: Campus Activities – Very busy something for everyone even couch potatoes.

Health & Safety: There are some emergency stations around campus that a student can use if they feel like they are in fear. There is also a service where students can call the on campus patrol and they can drive a student to anywhere on campus where they need to go. However, there has been quite a few incidents where students are attacked at night while doing activities such as running or just hanging out.

Local Atmosphere: There's always something to do near UCF. From going out to a local bar to reliving your childhood by going to Universal Studios, there's never a dull moment. For shopping, there's about 3 malls within 20 minutes and there's even the prime outlet malls down on International.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Still a Bare – With the addition of a new parking garage, the parking has increased in quality slightly, but still is a nightmare. The only way to survive is to know where and when to park. It is really inconsistent because sometimes I find a spot within a minute or so and other times it takes over 20.

Off-Campus Dining: The Food Hotspot – Orlando is the place to be if you are a sonnoisseur of food. There is an immense diversity ranging from oriental to carribean. There is also a fine balance of family owned restaruants and large chains. The prices are generally reasonable for a college budget.

4 College Junior

Weather: It's Florida – It's pretty much sunny all the time. It rains a lot more in the summer, but really can't complain.

4 College Junior

Transportation: I didn't have a car my first 2 and a half years, and it was never a problem because we have a very effective shuttle system. There is a system right on campus that stops at various spots. There are also services for the 15 off-campus affiliated housing complexes.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Pretty Decent – Discount books for fast-food options are sent out frequently in the mail. Waterford Lakes has TONS of fast-food and sit-down options.

5 College Junior

Majors: Great Classes – My school offers one of the greates programs for hospitality students, great professors and overall they have very great facilities

Scholarships: Process Should Be Alot Easier – I received a limited amount having to pay out of pocket. Its very hard for me because I dont count with the money to pay my classes. I wish the cool could have more way to help the student.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Great Campus – Great facilities at the University of centarl florida, School offers alot of different resources that are amazing to the student, awesome professors and great school overall.

2 College Junior

Transportation: Bus Options – There are bus systems available to take you from your capus affiliated apartment to campus, or simply from one side of campus to the next. However, they do not run as often as they should so the convenience isnt really there.

1 College Junior

Parking: There are so may things wrong with the parking at UCF. The availability of spaces is not there. You can easily circle a lot for 30-45 minutes before finding a spot. And usually, you end up stalking someone from across the lot for their spot, or driving a pedestrian to their car so you can take their spot. Also, decals are very pricey!

5 College Junior

Diversity: Everyone Has a Place – UCF is such a large school, and with over 60,000 students, it would be impossible to not find people that you fit in with. The campus is so diverse, and the amount of groups and student organizations on campus make it easy to find your niche.

3 College Freshman

Weather: I am a Floridian so I am familiar with the weather. Although it gets hot, I could not ever bear to be in the cold.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safe & Police Can Be Found Everywhere – Although the campus is large, there are usually people around, and cops are usually around or near campus. Police are strict on underage drinking, and other illegal activities.

Transportation: Pretty Good. The bus system is quite convenient, though parking is hell

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
