Guys & Girls: Overall Student Population – There are a lot more girls than there are guys at this school. The girls are also more attractive than the guys; well it's easier to find cute girls than it is to find good looking guys. This most likely has to do with the ratio of guys to girls. Fraternities and Sororties are pretty big on campus, and you will always find them at the gym. A lot of us go out, and you can meet a ton of different people that way too.

Athletics: Football Is Big – I love to go tailgating, everyone is there. I havent heard much about volleyball or anything else

Off-Campus Dining: Theres a Lot – Theres a lot of options within five minutes of the campus. Ranging from very cheap to upscale. Very convinient

Facilities: The UCF BFA Musical Theatre program is a growing school here in Florida. While top BFA schools are known to be Carnegie and Florida State, UCF is going to sprout once people know more about it. It's seen as the backup school for most theatre students auditioning for colleges. UCF's theatre faculty is amazing, they work to see you do great while still enforcing and training you for what future jobs would treat you. It is simply amazing.

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls here at UCF are most of the time friendly, but, of course, you occasionally get rude people. It seems since it's college, everyone likes to party, especially my suite-mates... They are very sociable almost always though.

Campus Dining: Meal Plan – I, personally, have an All-Access 7 day meal plan, which I use about 4-5 times a day. It's a great deal. However, I feel like there could be more options that could connect with other restaurants rather than the two cafeteria-type places on campus. The food in the cafeterias could also be more diverse and the workers are sometimes rude and are uncaring at times. The meal plan provides you with 50 knight cash dollars which I can use on restaurants on campus like Asian Chaoi, so it has its benefits. Overall, it is a little above average.

Diversity: UCF is rich of diversity, many exotic looking people walking around and in your classes. As you meet new people, you realize the diverse of culture and languages that are present in this school.

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Are Pricey! Off-campus housing is pretty pricey and not at all that glamourous. Granted they are very close to campus, one can travel by bicycle, however, most rooms available are 4 bedrooms, so if you are looking for a little more privacy it will be challenging!

Academics: Beautiful Campus, Numerous Opportunities – The University of Central Florida is a very large School in its architectural size and student body, however professors are extremely helpful with plenty of office hours, TA (Teaching Assistant) are also present in each class, SARC (Student Academic Resources Center) offers plenty of 1 on 1 tutoring and study groups. So far, I have been extremely successful in my academics and it's all thanks to the extra help that was available to me.

Parking: They have been working to make the situation better by building an additional parking garage but it is still an issue among students. There seems to be more teacher/staff parking than there are student parking. Students would have to either get there really early or come atleast 30 minutes before your actual class in order to find a spot.

Facilities: I have not had much to complain about the facilities on cdampus at University of Central Florida. The Gym is state of the art and easy to navigate with plenty of machines and equipment to use. The Student Union has plenty of seating, and an excellent variety of places to eat. The only complaint I have is the main hall way in one building, in which I have a class, is too narrow, and people have a hard time getting out. However, the building is old, and may have been fine years ago, but it is still annoying trying to get out.

Health & Safety: Safe as Houses – I have not been with UCF for long, but there hasn't been a moment when I did not feel safe. There are always people in the parking garages and lots from the parking administration and the security office, and at night there seems to be plenty of lighting. Obviously typical precautions should be observed, but I haven't had to do more than that to feel safe.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Hugs Not Drugs – I don't live on campus, so I may not see the full extent of drug use on campus, but I have yet to come in contact with any drug use. I only ever hear of drinking at parties. The people at UCF all seem very hospitable and personable, and I don't think drug abuse is a big issue.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Limited Knowledge – I don't live on campus or near campus, so I don't know much about the living situation. However, I do often see flyers for apartments for rent very near UCF that seem very affordable and convenient. Also, the look of the apartments near the campus is very modern and contemporary, which is nice.

Facilities: I'm Loving the Library – The Library at UCF is amazing. When I first walked in I was completely enamored by the atmosphere and what I saw around me. It is incredibly spacious, with plenty of different areas for studying either as a group or an individual. They have a great variety of food and drinks to munch on as you're studying. There are plenty of computers, comfy chairs, and tons of books. The Library is very resourceful and a place where I feel very comfortable spending time at.

4 College Junior

Weather: No Ocean Breeze – The lack of an ocean breeze makes it really hot in the summer and that can be uncomfortable when walking a long distance to class.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Parking Spots – The new garage helps but it is still a hassle to find a parking spot.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: Great Locations – Restaurants are conveniently located but there should be more tables to eat at.

5 College Senior

Nightlife: There is always something to do at nighttime near UCF. It does not matter whether you are staying in or going out, the options are endless. This includes for those underage.

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on the UCF campus. There are always police/security officers nearby to make me feel safe. There are also the blue emergency portals dispersed throughout campus to ensure safety for every single student.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is a big city with plenty to do. Aside from the obvious Disney/Universal attractions there is a great sense of college pride flowing through the city. I love it here, there is truly never a dull moment.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Always Expanding – While there are times when there would be no parking available to some, like during the morning Monday through Thursday, there was a new parking garage just built over the past year, which really alleviated the parking situation.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Great Sports Program – Although not nationally prevalent, the sports at UCF are varied and talented. The football games are exciting, the basketball team is even better, but the variety of sports played is very well advertised and supported.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Very Safe – Aside from the occasional bike theft or car break-in, which are apparent on every university campus, there are no major crimes to speak of on campus. I feel very safe walking around during the day and in a group at night. Great job UCF!

1 College Sophomore

Parking: They have really bad Parking at Ucf. Whats worse, they plan on compensating with building a new parking garage where the Arboretum is.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
