1 College Freshman

Transportation: the on campus bus line makes too many stops to get you where you need to be in a timely manner. to take the bus off campus, it costs you money, which if you are like me, you don't have extra money to pay for it. To have a car on campus is a joke, but a bit convenient to use off campus.

Campus Strictness: Scholarship policies are pretty straightforward. Maintain the required GPA, keep your scholarships. That's the only one that i'm really familiar with. I suppose their plagarism one is pretty strict, as most schools would be. My main concern is the scholarship one, so that's my biggest concern, and I would rate it as fair.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: It's usually sunny so it's not bad at all. But when it rains, there are always a ton of puddles.

2 College Sophomore

Academics: Need Better Professors – Half of the professors here can't even speak English. If they do, they have really thick accents and no sense of how to teach.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Could Be Better – I feel unsafe walking around campus at night. There never seems to be any sort of safety officers patrolling.

2 College Senior

Majors: Anthropology Admission – my program did not require an application, I was actually forced to pick a major beginning of Junior year I think, and it was fairly easy to declare my major....even though they dropped my classes until I declared it, which I didn't appreciate.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Pretty Good – It is fairly easy to apply for financial aid, just may take awhile for the paperwork to be processed, and for the aid to come in. They are good about deferring payments to help out though.

3 College Senior

Computers: Computer Lab – UCF's library offers many computers and printing stations; if the student was willing to do their work on campus, they would not need their own computer or printer.

Usually crowded but it is easier to find a computer than a parking spot most of the time.

5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando Overview – Orlando has something for everyone from the outdoor adventurer to the college partier. There are plenty of local sports bars, malls, coffee shops, restaraunts, and of course Disney and Universal! There are also chic, trendy areas like Park Ave and downtown for a more upscale night out. As for the outdoors there's Wekiva Springs, plenty of lakes, and beautiful parks with walking trails.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Went Smooth for the Most Part – I recieved a fair amount of financial aid. One semester I had a few problems with the university misplacing a form but the problem was fixed and after that it has been okay.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Ok When I Went There – Now I attend all of my classes online. But when I first started UCF I had to drive an hour three days a week to get to campus. The drive was not bad but once I hit the campus, traffic was usually slow.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: Good When I Needed to Eat – I do not eat around campus very often but when I do the food and service are always good. They have popular fast food chains. My favorite place to eat would be Eisten Bagels. I loved being able to get a bagel before class.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Its Great!! I am loving UCf more and more everyday. I love the professors, the facilities, the resources, activities, and the people. Life here seems so nice and easy going.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Nursing as a Major – I love my schools atmosphere and school community. My major itself is very exclusive and completive but will be worth it if I am accepted. I love to tailgate with the entire school and get involved. Greek life is great at UCF as well.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Seems Safe to Me – I havent heard of much crime going on, on campus. The most I've heard was of a man breaking into people's off campus apartments. I feel completely safe here on campus and there are many resources to use when I am stuck somewhere at night all alone. Im happy that there is not much drinking and alcohol abuse on campus and I know they enforce their rules towards crime.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports Are Important – Our school is known to have no school spirt. That is not true at all the majority of kids on campus are rocking the UCF attire, and supporting our school at games.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Dorms Are Convenient – The majority of dorms are in great walking distance to classes. The down sized to at least my dorm is the bathroom I share with three other girls is very old and out dated.

3 College Freshman

Weather: If the weather is nice, everyone is out and about and it seems to be very enjoyful. But when its raing outside, everyone stays inside and it seem like there's nothing else to do.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Football Fans Are Amazing – I love going to the football games here just for the fans. Everyone here gets up on their feet and is enjoying every minute of the game. I love the music we play and the chants we shout. I love the atmosphere and the fact that the student section is always full (even when its raining cats and dogs outside)! The UCF fans make me want to go to every game and I love it.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Campus Facitities Are Awesome – All of the facilities here are excellent. The Recreation and Wellness Center is clean, accsessable, and very helpful in problems or concerns. The library is very organized and the staff is very helpful. There are always campus activities. No on here should ever say they're bored. The student Union is kept in tip top shape and if the perfect place to study, eat, go yo meetings, and hang out with friends.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Too Many Choices – The UCF area has a TON of new apartments including ones that are still being built as we speak. Some of them are reasonably priced others are WAY out there. Within a 5 mile radius of UCF I would say there are at least 20 housing developments for students.

College Senior

Campus Housing: Have Not Experienced – I have not lived on campus yet but I have heard mixed reviews regarding cleanliness.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: A Variety of Options – There are myriad of options ranging from fast food burger joints, to whole grain subs that I find suitable for my needs.

4 College Senior

Computers: Accessible Laptops in Library – Library lends adequate laptops for student use in library in order for them not to be confined to the crowded corridors.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Spirit and Programs – Rather it be the Greek life or a Saturday football game, students have lots of school spirit here. Everyone I have met at UCF is proud to be a Knight. Not only are they proud of their Greeks and sports teams but also of the many schools that are offered and the abilty to learn. All around the UCF enviroment is great for broadening your intellectual and social skills.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
