Scholarships: It's okay when there are no complications. However, they do not alert students soon enough when there is a problem. Not too happy right now with the financial aid department, but I cannot let that completely affect my overall rating. They are a nice group of people.

Majors: I love my program and the support that I receive.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I had an internship for my graduate experience. Although the faculty work to place students in good field placements, we don't usually get compensated. It was a big expense, but actually necessary. We are required to do a certain amount of hours which is not specific to the campus. I had two great internships in terms of responsibilities. I felt qualified and supported in my internship.

Greek Life: I have limited insight into this area.

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I don't tend to utilize on campus housing so I do not know.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I think in this area the campus is about average.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Tons of options for food.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I live far away from campus. Not enough options for me in my current stage.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: I don't tend to utilize the transit system options on campus so I really don't know.

Health & Safety: I'm undecided. There are noted safety measures, but nothing that tends to go above and beyond. I think our area has experienced an increase in population growth. Therefore, I think crime increase is a natural part of that. I think UCF will continue to increase security on campus as it grows.

Athletics: The campus tends to revolve around sports events and activities. I agree with this as it is an integral part of the school's culture. Our football team has really moved up in the ranks over the years and the fan support shows. Everywhere you go there are shirts and merchandise advertising UCF spirit. We just had a new stadium built several years ago which is top notch. I would like to see some of our other sports besides football gain a little more recognition, but it is fun to be on a campus with such support.

Off-Campus Dining: Some are good and some aren't

Majors: I'm just a sophomore so i don't know yet

Health & Safety: I haven't had to use one yet

Nightlife: Its one of the best

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: It is near downtown orlando, which is where all the night club and night scene is. It is also located about 40-50 minutes away from Universal Studios/Island of adventure and Disney, so that gives something to do; if you are not a broke college student. Sports are ok, we've done somethings to be proud of. Its extremely culturally divers when it comes to student population and dining as well.

Computers: The network comes and goes as it pleases, I try not to use my laptop on campus when completing an online qui or anything. The need for a personal computer is paramount, the labs and libraries are usually full.

Local Atmosphere: There are good places to eat and parks in campus to interact with nature. There is a big shopping center near and it has pretty much everything, the only thing missing is a wall-mart and there are two close to UCF. Safety is not so good, there is strange people always wondering around. The attitude towards students is good most of the times, i think this is because most of the customer service is given by the students that have part time jobs in the area.

Diversity: There is a very diverse group of people in all these aspects. Nationalities, economic background, political beliefs, religion and sexual orientation.

Off-Campus Housing: There is a broad variety of places but you have to really look for the good ones. the quality of most of them is very poor. the management does not care about the people that live there. I think its an elevated cost for an apartment 4/4. Safety is very poor because most of them have gates and special keys for the commodities by most of the times they are broken and everyone can access to the building.

Majors: i had an internship with the management of a retail store. It wasn't very good because it was mainly about sales. It paid $5.30 + 3% commission the hour. It was about 25 hours a week.

Computers: Our network works really fast when it is working. However, there have been several times when the wifi has not been working at all.

Academics: The academics at our school is pretty good overall. Most of the professors are very nice and easy going, the curriculum isn't too bad, and there are several different places to study or get tutoring.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
