4 College Junior

Nightlife: I am consumed by studying so don't have time to do the business major lifestyle

4 College Junior

Academics: The professors are very knowledgeable but they don't know how to teach that well.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: So Different – There are so many different styles the students acquire. There are the typical jocks and preps, and there is the punks. The guys and girls both have a very wide spectrum of interests and its guaranteed that everyone will find a group to fit in with.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: UCF has many diverse students and backgrounds. However, many of the students are white.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Completely Safe on Campus – I feel safe when I am on campus because there are alert systems everywhere and I know the campus is constantly patrolled.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Lots of Opportunities. UCF is great. I love it. There are so many opportunities to help further your career. If you take the time to get to know your professors and talk to them they will help you in any way they can. Everyone there is nice if you don't bother them they won't bother you. :)

4 College Junior

Parking: Get There Early – Parking is not as many people say it is at UCF. If you just get to school 10 minutes early you will find a spot. You just need to be patient and try not to run late. Not to mention they just built a new garage.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drinking Is All Anyone Cares About – At UCF students love drinking. UCF is a wet campus so you can expect to find people drinking on campus. From what I can tell a lot of people that go there are okay with smoking weed but whether they do or don't I am not sure. Pretty much weekends are all about getting your drink on at UCF.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: My Unique University – UCF is very equipped with job opportunities for staff and students alike. Everyone is very joined together with little discrimination in any sense. Greek life is very opening, despite the sterotypical cliche. We have a "reflection pond" which is a magnificent fountain that students gather around to study, socialize, or "reflect." The set up of the campus is mostly walkways with the "student union" being strategically placed in the center acting as the school's heart.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Homecoming week and during any home game, UCF goes well. Not only do people who attend the university attend the games and support the team, but neighboring fans in Orlando as well. The whole stadium is filled with black and gold. The stadium was set up a few years ago and sits as a shrine for our fantastic players. Also, basketball and volleyball are highly regarded.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Coated in Safety With a Nice Crime-Free Center – UCF is constantly under surveillance to ensure safety within the Knight community. Members of the police force always make sure that no one speeds on the roads, helps direct traffic during major events, prevents and warns against underage drinking on campus. On top of that, there are frequent safety phones and emergency buttons for any situation.

2 College Freshman

Computers: We Don't Have Enough Space – For UCF being the second largest campus in the nation. We require SPACE! Something we don't always get. When you require half of the math taking students to get in 3 hours in math lab, you should at least provide computers for students who are trying to get in instead of being short changed and waiting for hours to get a computer!

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Pretty Safe but I Hear Stories Sometimes – I have never had a problem with security or felt unsafe but, I have seen two cases of theft on campus in a 3 month time frame. But, I guess that isn't super bad considering how many more happen elsewhere.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Everything is super convenient and fast when your going to the second largest campus in the nation with over 59,000 students. What we don't have in parking we make up for with food. There are miles of food places in every direction of UCF. As well as lots of grocery stores for cookers and its all well priced.

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Academic Integrity Is All They Care About – There is a very lenient punishment for drinking, unless you are in Healthy Lifestyle type dormitories. Academic Integrity though is seen as a serious offense and can end you in serious trouble. Parking is very strict in their citations.

2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Housing Is a Flop – The dorms at Towers are the best living wise for both underclassmen and upperclassmen, but are over the top in cost wise. The dorms at Towers are well equipped, newer and have the largest rooms and security, giving more of a hotel atmosphere rather than a dorm feeling. Hercules and Nike also are good options for the aesthetics of things. I currently live in a Healthy Lifestyle dorm, and reside in Lake Claire, which is pretty on the outside, but on the inside has half cinder block walls and half smooth walls, which looks very tacky. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal like in Towers. The social atmosphere is nice, and it is close to campus and the arena. The drawback is the cost you pay versus what you get, most students tend to live off of campus after the first year.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Campus Activities Are Well Established – The facilities on campus are well offered and provided, campus activities are abundant and the gym and fitness is well laid out. The general campus is high in aesthetics appeal and holds a well laid out campus with a good system in adapting a circular lay out for all of the different academics and common areas. Campus activities populate much of University of Central Florida and are used in a good way to bring the large mass of students together into one social setting.

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: Many Dining Options – UCF has many dining options, but they can be quite costly.

5 College Senior

Computers: Great Labs! UCF has many great computer labs and free opportunities for printing!

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: Nightlife here is amazing. There is a lot to do. Even if you don't like going to Clubs or bars theres always something to do.

3 College Senior

Majors: My Future Career – I highly enjoy my Elementary Education program at UCF. The professors as well as my fellow classmates are easy to work with and make learning fun. The resources available on campus are excellent, especially the Curriculum Materials Center. I am somewhat concerned with finding a job when I graduate. If that happens, I will substitute teach and keep searching!

4 College Junior

Facilities: I'm in love with my school's campus. It is so aesthetic and pleasing to the eye. It may be vast and intimidating at first, but the newness of the buildings and how beautiful the scenery is is something I adore about my school. It is also currently the 2nd most populated school in the United States.

1 College Senior

Campus Strictness: UCF has a zero tolerance for the use of drugs and alcohol on campus. This includes dorms and fraternity and sorority houses. If an event is registered such as tailgating or a fraternity party, it is okay but under age drinking is strictly enforced. If caught, being expelled from UCF is an option.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Campus dining isn't the most gourmet of places to eat. But we do have many decent restaurants placed all over campus that make up for it.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Housing Is Mediocre – As really at any university, or in any college town, students aren't always provided with the best apartments or off-campus housing available. The apartment I currently live in is off-campus and has many problems. For the most part it isn't completely awful; we are completely furnished and the rent has been pretty reasonable. But now the rent is going up a severe amount next year and it's leaving my family in a pickle. Some of the apartments are beautiful around our campus, but are ridiculously expensive.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
