4 College Freshman

Athletics: Many Sports to Choose from! UCF has plenty of sports to choose from, you could get involved in anything from baseball to paper football. The varsity sports also do fairly well against other teams.

5 College Junior

Facilities: UCF has it all. If you want greek life to just a club they have one club for everyone. The Union is HUGE and it is worth visiting. The REC center has everything you need 4 basketball courts, racquetball, and more. Outside fields lap pools.

3 College Junior

Parking: UCF has created more parking but it is still hard to find parking. Be early to all nights or days with concerts and etc.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Off Campus – I live in a Managed apartment complex off campus not owned by UCF or college housing

5 College Sophomore

Transportation: If you're trying to get from your off campus apartment to campus, most of them offer a free bus that runs every 15 minutes to and from the school. If you're trying to go downtown to unwind on the weekends from the busy school week, there is a bus that's just 10 dollars that goes from campus to downtown and back.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Campus Safety – I always feel safe on the UCF campus. There are multiple emergency phone towers scattered throughout campus, as well as officers that walk the campus to ensure that everyone on campus is safe. I've never had any run ins with trouble or felt fearful on my walk home from classes.

Local Atmosphere: Theme Park City! Orlando is such a great city. About thirty minutes from campus we have Disney and both Universal and Universal Islands of Adventure theme parks. If you enjoy going out on the weekends, just 15 minutes away from campus is downtown Orlando. It has options for those who like to dance their stress away and those who just like to sit and talk about their week. There's always something to do in Orlando and all of it can be easily reached from the UCF campus.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Downtown Orlando has a lot to offer and buses on Friday and Saturday are great for students. Closer to campus there are also a significant amount of restaurants and some clubs and lounges as well.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of options near UCF and shuttles that run every 15 minutes make it easy even if you don't have a car. Many have amenities like a small gym or pool for residents as well. It's almost like living on campus, but significantly cheaper as well.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Rec and Wellness Center – It is AMAZING. They have everything you could possibly want in a gym.

2 College Junior

Parking: Depends on the Area and Time of Day – It really depends on the area on campus you are parking and the time of day you are coming or going. Early mornings and late nights the parking is great, but the middle of the day can take up to 20 minutes to find a spot sometimes.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Always Expanding and Improving! Over the past few year I've witnessed a number of new housing options and renovations take place around campus. It appears as though they are putting a lot of money into better housing options, offering more availability and being located closer to campus for convenience.

Scholarships: It is so hit or miss with them. Their verifications take forever and they disperse funds at their own convenience.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: NOT BAD – IT SUCKS GETTING TO CLASSES WHEN IT RAINS, HOWEVER THE WALKING IS A NICE EXERCISE THAT THIS GENERATION NEEDS

5 College Freshman

Weather: The weather here is great! There is normally a nice breeze in the morning and it gets warmer throughout the day. There are some days with really cold weather and others that are really hot but overall the weather is good.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Alcohol Happens – I believe alcohol happens on all campuses, but it's enforced pretty well by school officials. We have a lot of awareness of drinking on campus put on by the Rec. Center so students are pretty aware of drinking responsibly.

3 College Junior

Transportation: The buses are usually good, but they only go to select spots. I wish they would come from farther away.

5 College Junior

Athletics: The athletic scene is always buzzing, with great home games and the gym is absolutely huge since its renovation.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The aesthetics of some parts of the campus are great, and the school also is doing a great job of modernizing their buildings like the gym and showing green initiatives by solar powering their garages.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: There is very much diversity, and everyone is very well accepted. Everyone talks to everyone, and i dont think anyone ever feels left out, because it is such a big school and there is pretty much somebody for everbody. There are people that share their views and have specific clubs, but if someone does not agree with the view they usually just ignore them

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The student centers are amazing there are a whole lot of benefits on campus. The campus is beautiful. The athletic centers are all new or newley remodeled. There is one libray that is huge and a great place to go study. There is something always going on on campus. Theres market day on wednesdays in front of the Union that brings in outside vendors. It is a great place.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I don't normally hang around with people that do drugs. I do know plenty of people who smoke weed. Alcohol is more popular from what I see.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There are several bars very close to campus. There are also plenty of diverse clubs and bars downtown. Students throw parties at their apartments. Normally you meet many new people. Transportation is very good for the clubs and bars near campus.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Football & Basketball – Football and basketball have the best support system by Alumni and current students. Team performance is very good. Most students participate in attending these athletic events as well as others that UCF provides.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
