Facilities: My favorite UCF facility is most definitely the gym! It is amazing. 2 story rock climbing wall, free work out classes, indoor track, indoor and outdoor courts, Olympic size lap pool, leisure pool, and all of the top of the line fitness equipment!

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: New Buildings Are Great. All of the new buildings on campus are amazing. Especially the gym. The only buildings that are not good are the old ones like in ferrell commons, but those are being replaced soon. So basically are campus will be awesome.

Greek Life: Greeks Vs Non-Greeks – Greek life to Greeks seems extremely important, but most Non-Greeks frown upon them. Greeks think the school's social scene revolves around them, that may be true if you consider partying all the time the only social scene. Non-Greeks realize there are not only options to party but many other fun things to do on and off campus without the superficiality of Greek life.

Off-Campus Dining: All dining options around the University are Fantastic there is always something for everybody and only a few minor issues.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: On campus there are not only 2 different main meal plan halls, but also we have two sports bars, at least 12 different food options in the student union, in addition to other fast food locations around campus inside of the library, book stores, gym, and spread out all over campus. You would never have to worry about not finding the kind of food that you want because there are food options for everyone.

Parking: Parking on campus is fine early in the A.M. Don't try to come to campus at noon and expect to find a good parking spot. Parking garages are wrapped around the entire campus so there is always parking however UCF provides shuttles which I personally use.

5 College Junior

Computers: School Comuters – State of the art labs with free printing for students, wireless throughout the campus, everything state of the art.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere at UCF is awesome. There is so much today on a daily basis. Some of the activities I take part in are intramural sports, the gymnasium which is state of the art with a subway and rock climbing wall. Orlando offers great attractions such as Disney and Universal. Friendly vibes all around campus.

4 College Junior

Transportation: Options Are Available – UCF runs a shuttle line that services many of the nearby off-campus communities.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Dated Architecture – The university was founded in the 60's, so a lot of the architecture looks really dated. They have done a great job with the newer buildings though, and worked hard to make them beautiful. UCF has all the resources a student could want, including a beautiful rec center. They recently revamped the library as well.

Drug Safety: Definite Party Scene – Drinking is a definite popular hobby for most students at UCF. There are numerous house parties and the local bars are always packed from Thursday through Saturday night. I don't know of much policy enforcement.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Save More Money Off Campus – There are several options for off campus housing. In the long run, off campus tends to be less expensive than on campus. On campus is more suitable and arranged for freshman and the university encourages off-campus living post freshman year. For an above average room the cost will be about 580 - 600. One big problem is the difficulty of finding short term leasing.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Not Sure How to Answer This. I rated this a B+ because I don't really know how to answer it. It is all a matter of who you hang out with. I don't gravitate towards those types of people, so I wouldn't know how that scene is. I would say drinking is more of an issue.

4 College Senior

Facilities: A great deal of the campus is new - including the arena, shops, football stadium, and some classroom buildings. There are a few old buildings but nothing terrible. The dorms are some of the best in the state and offer several options. The gym was just expanded and is now absolutely huge with every resource available to students for free.

2 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life, thankfully, doesn't rule UCF. They have an entire street dedicated to themselves, which is no problem, but I don't really meet many people that are apart of the organizations. They host a few events, but I think UCF has done a great job at not letting Greek life become a tumor on it's society.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: The crime rate in Orlando, Florida has thankfully not made national news, but being the daughter of a Orange County Police officer, it doesn't have to. I hear about it all the time. Like a scroll on the bottom of those news shows that you don't wanna watch while waiting for your car to finish being worked on. According to her, Orlando is getting worse, but as a person who is just now getting around to start her life, going to college, working near the college, etc., I can honestly say that UCF does an excellent job at making me feel safer. Campus security at our school isn't just your run of mill rent-a-cops. They are actual Orlando Police officers, same training, same gear, similar uniforms. They respond quickly and appropriately to whatever situation they are called out on, and are understanding of the students that they are, essentially, serving. I like UCF. Keep up the good work, boys.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Hidden Quality – UCF has great graduate programs and undergrad programs. If you can get past the annoying amounts of people who probably shouldn't be in college, or the time spent looking for the parking space that just isn't there, it's a really good school for academics.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Bad Rap – Despite the fact that we recently fired football and basketball coaches for NCAA violations, the athletics are pretty cool around the campus. Not that we ever win anything, but a lot of people seem to turn out for games.

2 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Why Do They Go Here? They all look the same. Bottle blonds with huge sunglasses fiddling around on their phone while using "like" after every other word. Muscly meat-heads or stringy skateboarders who really wish they were born in the 80's and think being loud is rebellious. They can have each other.

5 College Freshman

Computers: There are approximately 300 computers available for use in the UCF Library. They are extremely convenient and allow for USB use for saving documents. The UCF Library makes it easy to do research for projects and write your paper all in one place.

5 College Senior

Drug Safety: Drug safety is great, I never see any drug usage there. Smoking is also banned on campus to keep the air and environment clean

5 College Senior

Campus Dining: I LOVE the dining at Rosen. They have delicious options for a good price.

4 College Senior

Computers: There are no free printing options. Even if you just need to print one page. At a small college like the Rosen College of UCF students should have some kind of free printing option. We are already paying for a technology fee in our tuition, what is that fee for if not printing?

1 College Sophomore

Parking: I dont believe there is enough places on camous to park. and it costs $100 for two terms you think it would be better.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: there are no second chances, they do kick you out on the first offense

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
