Computers: Computers at UCF are excellent. They have laptops you can rent out for free, they a\have multiple computer labs around campus with really fast WiFi.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The are many different sorts of both guys and girls due to the school being so large. So whatever you are looking for I am sure you could find.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are lots of off-campus housing avaiable very close to campus. The safety of these places are pretty good since they are all so close to campus. They hold an expo every once in a while where different places come and try to sell their places to help students find off campus housing. A lot of new housing is coming off campus and more and more places are just now opening up with great amenities and reasonable prices. The availability can be tough because there are so many srudents at the school but the prices are affortable for most students.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Computer Usage – Our wireless network is good because you have service everywhere on campus and anyone can use it. It is sometime hard to get connected to the server if there are a lot of people around you that are already connected or in a dead spot on campus. There are plenty of computers to use on campus so it is not necessary to bring your own computer all the time. Printing is hard because the school makes you pay to use thier printers on campus and I think that is innecessary. The computers can get a little packed during finals time but other than that they are free to use and not that crowded.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall its a great University. I love my adviser and most of the professors are great!

Local Atmosphere: Orlando, FLORIDA – Orlando is really close to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. There are lots of good restaurants, spas, nail and hair salons, gyms, malls, and pretty much everything you'd ever need.

Campus Dining: Repetition Overpowers Tastefulness – The choices in the dining halls doesn't vary enough and there are not enough options to provide a balanced diet, but the desserts and coffee are phenomenal.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Girls Out Number Guys – I would say it is, or almost is, a 2 to 1 ratio of girls to guys on campus. For guys, this is a definite plus. You do have a good variety within this group as well.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Everywhere – Around the university are TONS of apartments which makes it rather easy to shop around and see which specific area and apartments you find best in value for the different price ranges.

Facilities: UCF has one of the biggest gyms in the country for students as far as I am aware. They have multiple intramural sports available for all students at all times of the year and many different activities and events students can participate in.

Weather: Summer Showers – Of course, the Florida winter is mild and very nice. In the summer, it is common for it to rain in the afternoon and clear up later in the day.

Computers: Plenty of Access – UCF provides an abundance of computer stations in multiple buildings, but it also has the second largest student body in the country. At peak times, finding a computer can be tough, but usually not impossible. In fact, they have recently opened a new tech center with a good number of computers available to all students.

Academics: Math Edu – To be my major at my school is a challenge for me. Basically I have a lot n my shoulders and a lot is expected from me. But it does give me something to look forward to down the line.

Health & Safety: Be Cautious Just in Case – UCF is a fairly safe university, but there are always going to be risks associated with being located in a metropolitan area. As one of the top universities with the largest student population, there are a few weirdos who slip through the cracks, but the UCF police and safety services are quick to send out warnings and reports of recent activity if anything illegal does happen on campus. Well-lit campus, "panic" buttons (some of which may or may not work), and it is difficult to go anywhere on campus where you are truly isolated.

Facilities: The wellness center at the UCF campus is giant. There is a wide variety of fitness equipment, and overall the facility is very helpful for athletic students. The only problem is that sometimes the gym can be crowded, despite its size.

Majors: Smooth Transition – The process was smooth, everything was to the point and efficient. The process of getting all documents together is always tedious but that's normal, the most important criteria for admissions I think is having all required documents turned in a timely manner.

Overall Experience: UCF is very diverse, and everyone seems friendly enough. I've met great faculty members and I've had many great extracurricular experiences so far, including sports events, volunteering opportunities, and social events. I don't choosing my school, not one bit

Health & Safety: campus crime doesn't seem to be too high, however whenever any types of crimes do occur, every student is notified via email. Security measures are always taken and campus police do make themselves available to anyone who may need their assistance. I don't feel unsafe, however, I do think it is necessary to always take extra precautions because you never know.

Weather: The weather in central florida is awesome. The walk to class is great when it is sunny and in the 70s. However, it is a real pain to get around when in rains, and it rains EVERYDAY in the summer.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Printing on campus is easy and free. There are two SGA labs in the Union where you can print 75 double sided sheets a week for absolutely nothing. The labs can get pretty crowded, but I think it's worth the wait. One thing I do like, is the testing labs. There is barely ever a wait time, but if there is, the labs stay open very late. You can basically test whenever you want, and you can make a reservation if you know exactly what time you want to test.

Weather: Sunshine in the Sunshine State – Great school to lounge by the pool on your off time and sunshine to study under. Most of the time anyway..
Girls, bring rainboots for those torrential downpours during hurricane season..
Other than that, flip flops and swimsuits all year long!

Parking: You learn a certain parking method that never leaves your daily habits when you graduate. You'll find yourself in a normal parking lot stalking people to their cars with your blinker on to get any spot.

Weather: Occasionally a hurricane will force the school to close for an afternoon.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
