Drug Safety: Students will always want to have fun in college, if the school is to intense on its limits the school will be less populated. However safety is always important and UCF does well at making that known. At all the tailgates police are always checking for underage drinking and drinking and driving as well as at fraternity parties. They are always close by keeping vigilant eyes for anything that would cause harm to students.

Health & Safety: For a large school, the personal safety and health safety of students is very noticeable important to the school. The health center offers basic services for free and discounted rates for anything that causes charges. It is easy to access and well organized. The police action is always quick when needed. Speeding around campus is well monitored and safety rides are offered at night to students walking to their cars or to campus buildings.

Computers: Most students that are in college have their own computer or portable device that they can do work on. If they do not, the library rents out computers and tablets. There are computer labs and computers throughout the building as well as in the library. The wireless is great easy to connect to and reliable.

Off-Campus Housing: Orlando is a large area so there is a large variety of options, ranging in prices and quality. It is what you get. The more you pay either you are very close to campus or your housing is extremely good quality. Average quality is thr most popular and thus you pay average rates.

Off-Campus Housing: There is a vast variety of off-campus housing opportunities for any price range and any living arrangement. The only consistent problem is that of security.

Diversity: As one of the largest universities in the nation, UCF represents the greatest collection of diversity in every characteristic. With this diversity is a shared respect for all people despite their appearance, beliefs, and ideas.

Scholarships: Financial aid definitely helped me go to college. I had some problems about citizenship because I was naturalized and was forced to consistently present proof of my citizenship every semester. It is important to fill out information in advance in order to resolve any potential issues that arise. It is also important to have copies of important documents with you at college.

Athletics: We have great teams and a lot of fan support despite being underdogs. There is a lot of school spirit felt everywhere. Athletic facilities are excellent.

Drug Safety: Many college student experiment with marijuana and alcohol. But it is not to a dangerous level.

College Senior

Campus Housing: I have not live on campus and do not know very well. But from what I hear, it is not a bad experience.

Transportation: Plenty of shuttle to and from campus as well as weekend/night shuttles that take students to downtown or to shopping plazas.

Weather: The weather is usually warm, but when it rains it is miserable to be on campus. There is lots of coverage when walking, but the rain can become a downpour in seconds and will soak you no matter how close you are to coverage.

4 College Senior

Greek Life: I don't particularly care for Greek Life but they do contribute to the university and community through collecting donations and bringing awareness to important causes.

5 College Senior

Academics: Professors are passionate and helpful. Plenty of interesting courses to choose from. Registration process is relatively easy. The workload I would say is relatively light and easy but student will always complain. Many opportunities for tutoring and help with writing on campus. Plenty of popular and large study areas for students to study all over campus.

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is a very diverse city with plenty to see and do. Theme parks, outdoor parks, malls, and scenic streets.

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: There is not much security presence, but when there is an incident the police are usually there within minutes. Plenty of emergency phones around the campus in case of danger, but not as much police presence as I would like.

5 College Senior

Nightlife: There are several different places to hang out a night that provide a good variety for whatever you're into. There a plenty of clubs for dancing and bars for talking. There is plenty to do and see, it only takes some exploring!

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
