4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Personally I'm not involved in athletics, but spirit is everywhere on game days. The basketball games are probably the best to go to. Student athletes have pretty high academic standards, which is great.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Dining on Campus – I suggest staying at a dorm/student apartment with a kitchen. Don't bother buying a meal plan. Both dining halls are kind of gross, and way too far apart from each other. The union is probably the best place to go eat, though none of the options are particularly healthy. It's all fast food and those restaurants get old after a while. Einstein Bros is probably the only place I eat at on campus anymore.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Our recreation & wellness center is absolutely amazing. Some buildings are older than others, but the newer ones are beautiful and clean. Our library is huge and always helpful. Our student union could use some better restaurants. The campus itself is beautiful.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Black Greeks – i think for such a newly popular university the african american greek life is pretty engaging and entertaining.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Fan Support – I think being at ucf i would go to football games because it is so fun seeing the fans with such school spirit and to be able to be apart of it

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus at Pegasus Landing use to be amazing but from what i hear their prices are going up which isn't good.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: My experience at UCF has been amazing so far. UCF keeps improving every year.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking garages on campus make parking accessible for traveling students.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The drug scene on most college campuses must be an area of focus. UCF does an excellent job at making the campus as safe as possible. Although most colleges try to focus their time and ability on "drugs", UCF does a great job at focusing on underage drinking.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Finanacial Aid Process Is Speedy – I receive my direct deposits on time and financial aid appears when I need it to.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Well Supported – UCF students are proud of their athletes and have the school spirit.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Fair Amount of Caucasian Students – There are a good amount of white people; however, there is a mixture of races and religions.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Don't Use Much – I walk for everything because its a personal preference of mine. However, from what i see it looks like it could be a very good system and could warrant an A rating. I just don't have the experience with it.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: Extremely Safe – There are many programs that are designed to prevent and reduce drugs on campus. They also do a good job if there are existing problems with students. They really care about what is going on on their campus.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Guys Are Friendly, Girls Are Too – Being new to the atmosphere, both genders are always willing to make the transition easy for you. Campus life is difficult to get use to but not with friendly folks. It also helps when the girls are a flirt, but the guys instantly make you a buddy and like to do things together.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Off-Campus dining at UCF is absolutely great!! There is practically everything one would want close to campus

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: On Campus Is Good – Libra is a nice place. Good community, strong sense of friendship and security. Plenty of freedom

2 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Meal Plans Suck – Don't buy the meal plans. They're overpriced and over rated, the food sucks and the service is lousey. It's just convenient is all.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Good Engineering – I came to UCF for the engineering program and man is it great so far. There are even a ton of opportunities from all of the businesses in the area.

4 College Freshman

Weather: When I started the Fall semester, it rained almost the whole first month I was there. But since then, it's rained very little and the weather has been very nice.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: There's almost always an opportunity to get involved in sports at UCF. Since there's 56,000 people that attend, the options are nearly endless.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The Libra community atmosphere is very lively. There's almost always someone sitting at a leisure table outside to talk with. The only problem with the libra community is that theres only one kitchen for the Orange Hall, but I don't do much cooking so that doesn't really affect me.

3 College Senior

Weather: Sunny Days!!! To be honest, I live in Florida so its a lot of sun. Me personally I have no problem with the sun until it's just too hot to move. Other than that, I love the weather.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: Florida is a popular state for prescription abuse and Adderall is widely accessible. Not much of a scene otherwise near campus. UCF's party scene is a lot smaller than its Florida University counterparts. A recent death in the Greek system tightened up policies big time regarding Alcohol. Beer is served in two restaurants on campus. There is actually a great selection of craft beer at Tailgaters.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Public transportation doesn't go near my house, and I live 5 minutes from campus. All of the nearby apartment complexes have shuttles that take them to Campus.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
