Transportation: Campus Apartment Shuttle – its execellent t comes every 15 mins taking you wherever you live

Majors: Exceptional Program – The process of getting into the college of education was an above average experience. College administration was organized, available and helpful. I was guided towards the steps I needed to take to reach my goals.

Parking: Parking passes are expensive and restrictive to which parking lots you can park in. Be sure to get to class at least 40 minutes early if you want to make it on time. My advice is to take the off-campus shuttle. It will seriously get you to class quicker than trying to find parking.

Computers: Many Labs – There are so many labs available to students. There are computers in Computer Lab I and II as well as the Student Union and even in Classroom Building 1! Not to mention, the many, MANY computers available to use in the library. In fact, you are even able to check out a laptop for personal use. If you bring your own laptop, WiFi is always available, even to guests. Also available is wireless printing from anywhere on campus!

Weather: Florida is the Sunshine State; great winds help keep you cool though. There are a lot of trees that many students take advantage of for shade during those lazy summer days.

Health & Safety: Lots of Crime – I get email alerts about crimes about once a week, if not more. It is good that the police are vigilant and inform students about happenings but I feel there are just way too many. People get arrested at football games, break-ins happen almost every night, and a wet campus allows for a lot of underage drinking.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: Lots of Variety – There are many different places to go in Orlando and KnightLynx will provide free late-night transportation to students. This is a major plus that cuts down on drunk driving so going out is a lot safer. However, not all of the variety is very good. A lot of clubs are seedy and dangerous. Fraternity parties are generally safer, especially after a recent crackdown. Overall, it's easy to have a good time!

Local Atmosphere: Orlando supports the UCF college. The businesses, Theme Park attractions, restaurants, banks, credit unions, etc. As a matter of fact,
restaurants, banks, and other businesses are on campus. I have a job
at Island of Adventure due to the fact that my interviewer graduated from
UCF. Th

Nightlife: Student Club and Concerts – At UCF we can enjoy a club where no smoking or no alcohol exists. This
is great. We just dance and enjoy water, soda, and food. There are many
clubs in the community, but it is nice to see familiar faces that you have seen is the classroom.

Greek Life: Lots of Variety – At UCF we have a medical Fraternity/Sorority. This is very valuable in this field of study. We are being prepped and groomed to become Doctors at
the undergraduate level. You've got to love UCF.

Diversity: The Melting Pot – There's a mixture of all kind, yet predominantly white. Cultured, friendly and
educated white. At UCF we have many other countries represented. We also have extreme personalities from the North, South, East and West.
You have to be glad that your choices have gone up at UCF. I love being at UCF.

Scholarships: The process is usually prompt here. As long as all paperwork is filled out
the sailing and process is quick and smooth.

Academics: Help Is Always Offered. At UCF no student is turned away for academic help. If you have a "B" and
need an edge to push you over to the "A", there are many available workships, seminars, graduate students, etc. to help. It's like a safety net
to not flunk out.

Facilities: UCF is a city within a city. We have so much on campus that you don't
have to go off campus for nothing. Even if you want a little variety of food,
we have a street leading onto the campus that has all the major fast food
restaurants within walking distance from campus. IHOP is there as well.
You have to love UCF.

Parking: There are parking garages for cars, bicycles, and motor cycles. There are also shuddle buses for students off campus as well. UCF is very
convenient in this area. If you have the money, you can also rent a car on
campus.

Drug Safety: Drugs Is at a Minimun. We don't have an abundance of drugs, alcohol or the like on campus.
I do believe the police department building on campus helps to reduce the
crime rate on campus to a minimum by roving to and fro just to be seen,
if you even think about doing the wrong thing instead of the right thing.

Facilities: Shadowing and Internship – My school has seminars and medical clubs and a pre-med fraternity/sorority to start. Each area help students becoming doctors to
actually meet Doctors, shadow Doctors, and intern at Hospitals. I have
these organizations prepare me for testing, entering medical schools and
more. This I can not replace. Who else can touch UCF?

Guys & Girls: From Models to Body Builders to the Average Marine, Joe – The campus has tall ones, short ones, muscular ones, toned ones, tanned ones, thin ones, big-boned ones, smart ones, and those that just
need help ones when a "B" is failing in their eyes. Don't you love college.
Our campus has students from France, Italy and and just listen to French
from a stylish speaker. Listen carefully to a little country, or jamaican accent to start. Sports can not touch some of the beautiful bodies or people on our campus. Some students don't have to talk, they just need to
stand there, and display the hard work of keeping their body in shape and
academics to match.

Athletics: Sports Are the Life-Line to Keep Your Sanity. Academics is the muscle of the campus, but Sports is the vein that put
the joy into Academics and keep the blood flowing to strengthen the muscle in a good way. Any Student can be a part of a team or make use
of the exercise facilities on campus to work out specific parts of the body.
A healthy body will develop a smart and powerful mind to make changes to
the campus, the city, and the nation.

Campus Strictness: Facing Arrest and Jail Time – Drug Dealing, Grad Theft, and/or Fraud can lead to arrest and possible
Jail time before a Judge in addition to taking away a student's position in
sports, Greek organizations, and Student Admin. body standing. Choose to do the right thing or the consequences will affect you for life.

Off-Campus Dining: Student Union – Tons of good food, not the greatest for a tight budget but always a good choice and selection

Campus Dining: Very good, there are a lot of choices and also a lot of diversity.

Diversity: The Campus Is Extremely Diverse – There are people from all around the world, from all different types of religion and all different races. This is another thing that UCF excels at. There are so many different types of people from every walk of life and they are all accepted. There are tons of clubs and groups on campus for different religions and races.

Campus Housing: Upperclassmen Dorms (Like Towers) Are the Best – The Towers are expensive but they are the only dorms on campus that allow you to have your own room (which is a huge plus). There is a cleaning service that comes once a month and there is a laundry room on every floor. There are also 2 bathrooms per 4 bedroom apartment. It is very clean and nice for the most part.

Off-Campus Dining: So Many Options!! There are just too many options to even write a review. There are probably 25-35 or more restaurants around campus. There are plenty of sit down places and fast food places too. Just so many great options!!

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
