Off-Campus Housing: The Cost of Living – I feel that while the off-campus housing options are plentiful, the cost of rent for college-affiliated apartments like the one I currently reside in do not take into account the diminishing amount of scholarships and grants available for college students such as myself who have to deal with rising tuition costs.

5 College Freshman

Majors: Super Simple – It was relatively easy to get into the degree program. The most important criteria is to have a good GPA, lots of community service, and extra-curricular activities. Be a well rounded student to maximize your success in the application process.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Many Resources to Maximize Success – My school has many things to offer that help maximize student success from the library, all-knight study, and the student union. All of these resources help students to do there best, if used correctly.

Off-Campus Housing: A Plethora of Apartment Options – The UCF area has many off-campus housing options so anyone would be able to find a place that they like. Also, for those who are on campus looking for housing, every Wednesday representatives from the various locations come to the campus and share some information regarding off-campus housing.

Overall Experience: UCF is one of the best decisions of my life. I love it here. The campus is beautiful, I can choose which classes I want and when to best fit my schedule, I love the new friends I made, and I love how they give alternative options to have fun besides going out to party and drink.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Variety of Options – A lot of people drive to the campus and use the parking garages. For those without cars, they can bike, walk, etc, or take the school provided buses from the off campus living to school. They also allow you to rent cars you can use for the day.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: People Are Friendly – Everyone is open to making new friends and building new relationships with people. There are many classes, activities, and places on campus to meet different people and become friends.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Slow Disbursement – Because of recent economic hardship, financial aid is on every students mind. UCF offers a great financial aid website but is lacking in a few areas. For instance, financial aid is disbursed the day before tuition is do. This does not give students a lot of time to get their finances sorted out.

Parking: UCF is infamous for its parking. Seasoned parker's know it can take up to 45 minutes to find a decent spot making a 45 minute commute to class much longer. Students get so desperate that they literally stalk other students when class is out until the walker waves them on and jumps in the drivers car for a nice ride to their coveted spot. What can we expect with such a huge student body?

4 College Senior

Diversity: University of Central Florida is very diverse as it has the second largest student population in the country. We have every ethnic, racial, economic, religion, belief, and sexual orientation accounted for on campus and you can see it! There is even an office of diversity with large focus on the LGBT community and their rights.

4 College Freshman

Parking: Parking at UCF is quite an experience. There are usually a great amount of spaces available, but during the peak hours of the school day it can get a bit hectic. Overall there are plenty of opportunities to park and the parking lots are very clean and in well lit areas as well.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: School Spirit – Our school spirit at athletic sport events is insanely awesome. Everyone is always on there feet and ready to cheer our knights on. Its a great experience to be apart of.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: UCF has various appealing places to live on campus and even off.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Safety Is Good – Drinking and Smoking is not much of an issue that i see on campus.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Big Convenience – The University of Central Florida has accommodated a few options to those who may not have a car, or choose to not use their car. The included shuttle services provided by the school is extremely convenient especially for the football games. Personally, I don't have a car, so I really rely on public transportation. The only bad thing is that they do not operate on the weekends. However, Knight Lynx which are late public buses operate free of charge to University of Central Florida students. Public transportation including the shuttles and Lynx (public bus transportation of Orlando) are extremely convenient for your local and long-distance destinations.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: On Top of Things – At the University of Central Florida, there are so many resources for the students that are in their best possible interest. There's a pharmacy where one can pick up their prescriptions, medical services to check up on ourselves including our vision and dental care. I feel extremely safe at the University of Central Florida as there are police officers that not only patrol campus but nearby student housing. The Police department is always sending immediate alerts of any crime that is present in a nearby radius through email and text messages that reaches students as soon as possible to inform them.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Opportunity Is Thrown at You – At my school there are many opportunities for students to get involved. Whether you are interested in getting involved in clubs, research or co-ops, UCF has what you're looking for.

5 College Junior

Weather: My School Is Like a Resort – Every single day on campus is a wonderful day on campus. The warm weather in Florida creates a wonderful environment to go to school in. Because the weather is always so pleasant I've found I am always in a good mood. On the rare occasion it does rain on a school day it rarely lasts the entire day.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: A Safe Environment – The police on campus make sure that everyone has a safe, good time. I have never personally gotten in trouble with the police, however friends that have don't have many good things to say about them.

4 College Senior

Facilities: My school has the most unique tradition during homecoming week called Spirit Splash. Thousands of people attend every single year.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: The thing that presents the most concern at my school is cheating and plagiarism.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: There are a variety of dining opportunities on campus that would suffice generally everyone's appetite.

4 College Senior

Athletics: UCF has a great amount of sports available for students to participate in. You will never get bored.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Campus Security – I consider the campus security to be great. There are police officers everywhere, by car, golf carts and bike. The parking lots are full of lights and people can see you. There are campus phones on some of the street light polls so that people can call for help if necessary. There is ample amount of street lights so that people feel safe at all times.

5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Local Area Near School – The school is located in a great area near town. It is off a major road which is Alafaya Trail. It is a big campus and there is so much to do in and outside of campus. There are plenty of places to eat near school. In addition there is a mall down the road from the school. Well its about 5 miles away, but its pretty close by car. In addition there are shuttles and public buses all over the place.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
