Computers: A lot of computer labs. Almost always computers available

Academics: Help Is Everywhere – Help is always available at UCF in many different forms, there are study groups, the professors are always willing to help, and on-campus resources such as SARC that provide free tutoring, and supplemental instruction sections.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Super Safe – I have never seen an incident besides an auto accident on campus. I feel completely safe coming to and going from campus.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I must say, the nightlife at UCF is pretty awesome. The majority of clubs and parties are for the 18 and older crowd. One of the things that I applaud UCF on is having free public transportation on the weekends at late night hours. The "Knightlynx" helps students without a form of transportation get out and actually have a nightlife safely. It also reduces the amount of drunk students driving home after the club or parties. Great Job UCF! As far as throwing a house party on off campus housing goes, it is definitely a no go. The police or neighborhood security will shut it down in a matter of minutes.

Health & Safety: Campus Crime – No matter what hour of the day it may be, I have never experienced a moment where I have had a perilous feeling on UCF's campus. Even on a late night stroll, there is enough lighting and police officers that circulate the campus to assure its well being. Also, even if there were to be any suspicious activity or any campus crimes, UCF will go beyond measures to inform students, faculty, and staff of the occurred incident, as well as prevention and an increase of security.

Weather: The weather has little effect on UCF. The dorms are all close enough to the classes that when there is stormy weather it is not so bad. It never snows, only the occasional thunderstorm to worry about.

Academics: Fast and Easy Registration – The registration at UCF is great. They give you plenty of time to register and if you are in good academic standing you get to register for classes significantly sooner than others. The online process is fast and user friendly, if you know what classes you want to take it should be a very quick and rather painless effort.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Very Flexable Classes – I am in the Business Administration College and I am satisfied thus far. The workload is tough but the classes and exams for said classes are the most flexible I have ever seen. Many Classes are available online which you can take at your own pace and almost all of them give you a one week window in which to do your test.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The computers are UCF are fast and there are plenty of them. Naturally, around finals the computers become a bit more scarce and one may have to wait a few minutes before a computer becomes available. The printing lab is efficient at what they do. The only problem I really see is connecting to their network from a personal computer. Normally it is fast but it has some reliability issues. The connection in some parts of the school are slow to not available. All that aside, I would say i am very satisfied with UCF's computers

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The overall quality of the food is decent with something really good popping up on the menu every now and then. While the food isn't bad most of the time, it usually isn't anything to get excited about.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Great Freshman Experience! I highly recommend living in the dorms if you are a Freshman! it is a great experience. fun, convenient, and you get the real college experience. I had a lot of fun! just make sure to have a study place like the library if you find it hard to study in your dorm. I lived in Libra and I highly recommend it. Yes, it is one of the older dorm communities, but it is has the best proximity to everything on campus.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Majority Is White – the majority are white students, but we do have a fair share of asian, black, and hispanic students as well. overall, i would say we are more diverse than many universities.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Parking Is Not Good – The parking situation at UCF is not very good. The parking garages are always packed and a long walk from where you need to go.

Academics: Education Is Amzing – I love being apart of the Education program. Elementary education is the best Major I could have picked.

4 College Junior

Academics: The Teachers – The proffesors at my school are excellent. They provide pleanty of classroom attention necessary to do well. They also provide excellent office hours for students.

5 College Junior

Majors: Elementary Education – The Education program at UCF is the best program I have come into contact with. The teachers are amzing and the curriculum is great.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Big Classes Hurts Personalized Teaching – The professors know what they're talking about, but it isn't always easy to speak to them one-on-one. Many of the courses have hundreds of students enrolled. Registration can be a nightmare early on because you will be the last to register after the seniors, juniors, etc. There is a good amount of tutoring for the classes people struggle in. The library is crowded on the bottom floor, move up and it gets progressively quieter and the crowd thins.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Big Classes Hurts Personalized Teaching – Most classes, especially in the beginning have hundreds of kids enrolled in them. There can be a big wait to having one question answered by the professor personally. The workload is heavy at times, usually when professors cluster tests around the same times. The curriculum is interesting, although the prerequisites seem to get in the way of taking the more interesting courses. There is plenty of tutoring and help available to get you through your classes. And by the time you're a junior, there is a lot of assistance available to get you into an undergraduate research or internship position.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Safe on Campus, Outside - Not So Much – Usually you won't be alone on campus, which makes campus feel safe. There are emergency call stations around that you can just push a button and it calls the police. Outside of school campus, I'd be careful at night. Remember, you're in Orlando and not everybody is a nice, college student. Lock your doors all the time. I've heard of robberies happening during the day because people leave the door open.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: Choose Your Garage Carefully – A parking decal does not mean you have a personal parking spot, it only allows you to park in the limited amount of spaces available without being ticketed/towed. Certain garages are always busy and it can take 45 minutes sometimes to find parking. If you are short on time and don't mind walking a bit further to get to your class, you can almost always find parking in garages more on the outskirts of campus.

4 College Junior

Diversity: People from all colleges, ethnicity, and religion coexist in UCF. A game of ultimate Frisbee next to a sword fighting Medieval club is just one of many common sights on campus.

Campus Housing: Freshmen Are Priority – UCF concentrates on getting new students so much, they alienate later years. Seniors have little to no choice in on campus housing.

Local Atmosphere: So Much to Do – Orlando is one of the biggest cities known. There is so much to do with so little to drive. There are many plazas that have a lot of shopping centers as well as restaurants. If shopping centers aren't in the agenda for the day, there are other places that have fun and interesting activities to do such as a place called BOING. This is a place that is filled with trampolines where you can interact in different activities. Also if you do not mind driving 30 to 45 minutes you can visit some of the most biggest attractions and theme parks. Universal Studios, Disney, and Seaworld are some of the main attractions. Overall it is a great local atmosphere with a lot to do.

Health & Safety: Campus Safety – I give the University of Central Florida an A+ because I do not believe any student has ever felt unsafe. There are specific University police officers that are dedicated to just supervising the campus. There are also blue lights located every where around campus that are intended to be there at any point in time to click so that a security officer can come pick you up or know where to locate someone if in danger. Also the University Police Department sends out emails to every student when there has been any crime committed within the area of the University. The University has a goal to protect each and every student that attends and i do not believe they will ever go below this goal.

Weather: The Sun Won't Stop Shinning – The campus is great, however the weather is not for the majority of the time. The weather is extremely hot in summer and occasionally in spring. If the weather was a bit cooler, students wouldn't have to sweat walking to class.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit.
